New member..little confused about what I can watch.

I just joined and am wondering if I can only watch what is current? If I find a previous topic do I have to buy it? How far back can you go before you have to purchase? If I watch a current show and want to watch it again 2 weeks later do I have to buy it? Just a little confused. Thanks for someone's help.

As I understand it, the mebership works much like a magazine subscription. You get what's current and the new suff as it is added, plus any videos/shows that have been made available free to all members, but you have to pay for the rest of the "back issues" as it were, for the older stuff. Don't worry, there are a lot of specials where you can get the shows free or cheaper from time to time.

      Welcome to TQS, kerenzee!

Click on MY ACCOUNT (far right on the purple navigation bar at the top of the page) and click on the tab labeled MY SHOWS.
That will tell you what you have paid for.
You also might want to check out the CLASSROOMS link on the purple bar for access to lots more videos.

And once you own a show, you own it forever. You can watch it over and over again.

Usually free shows are listed on the right hand side of the Daily Blog. Right now there is one by Carol Doak and it is a whopping good show.

Just to be explicit, the Carol Doak video isn't a TQS show. It's a special access to her video that expires at the end of the month. It's very good and I would recommend watching it if you have time. There are also TQS shows that are free. The "legend" shows are available to everyone for free all of the time. Other shows are sometimes available for short times when they are relevant to something else that is going on. You have to watch the blog to hear about them. At least, that's the only way I know of to hear about them.

Also, when you renew your membership they usually give you access to one season's shows that you didn't already have. You get to pick the season, at least that was true in the past.

And, let's not forget those DVD's of past seasons. That works for people like my Mom who prefer to sit in their easy chair and watch them on the TV screen!

Thanks everybody. I am working my way around the web site. So much to see. One last thing. If I watch a current show and want to refer back to it a month later do I have to buy it? Can you save shows anywhere?

Shows that you have you can watch any time. You own them forever. So, any show that comes out while you are a member is yours and you can refer back any time. You have to watch them from the site and cannot save them locally. You can also buy the DVDs to watch on your TV. I've purchased all of the DVDs as well since my internet isn't so reliable.

If there is something you see on the site that you may want to refer back to, look to see if there is a heart icon. If you click on that, it will put a link to that item in your "favorites" folder, which you can access from the Daily Blog page. It will be the heart shaped icon to the right of your name in the upper left of the Daily Blog page and the number in the heart tells you how many "favorites" you have stored there. Here is what mine looks like:
