    Shows not playing properly

I am having a problem watching the shows and this has been ongoing for about two months. I am just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and may know a solution. Here is my problem--no matter which web browser I use (Explorer, Chrome or Firefox) when I try to watch the shows they will play for a bit and then I get the circling arrow like it is loading but it just jumps back to the beginning of the show. If I try to click on the links on the right hand side for the segments, I am taken back to the Daily Blog. I contacted tech support and they said to try version 2 but I had already tried all three versions and the same thing was happening. Any suggestions on how to fix this would be appreciated as I have not been able to watch any of the new shows.

Debbie, I can't help you with your issue, but I'm wondering if anyone else is having trouble with the Smileboxes?

In the last couple of weeks, I can't watch the Smileboxes in Google Chrome, but they play in Internet Explorer just fine. I've downloaded the newest version of the Flash Player like John told me to, but it's still not working. Sometimes I want to just throw this thing through the window!!

Margo. I feel your pain. It is so frustrating when technology does not work and the cause seems illusive. I haven't had trouble with the smileboxes. Just the shows.

I think that the problem may be linked to some computer updates. I have become so frustrated with my computer, that I have scheduled a remote assist with a computer technician on Monday. If I learn anything general, I will share the knowledge. He charges me $100 per hour. This gets expensive quickly!

Thanks Diane. Any help would be appreciated. I was thinking the same thing about the computer updates as I started having trouble after a recent update.

I've just noticed that I have to click more arrows with Smilebox. Rotating circles can mean your service provider is having issues. It might be your connection. I get this all the time on the eastern shore of Virginia where the internet service stinks.

I'm sorry to hear you have problems. I was thinking a few days ago that everything seemed to be solved as I have no problems now with either the videos nor the Smilebox. I hope you'll find a solution. It's frustrating when it doesn't work

I had to uninstall the latest release of Adobe Flash Player because it was wrecking too much havoc on my computer.

Debbie I have had similar problems to yours and just when I think I will write to Bob it goes fine again. I use Safari but have firefox as my backup (although I rarely use it). Maybe there is just too much stuff on your computer. Try deleting your history and old emails etc., and see if that helps. But really, I know nothing about these things so maybe that's a stupid suggestion.

Thanks Rita. Those are great suggestions but I clear all the temp files, etc every time I log off. I would blame my computer if this was happening with all videos but it only happens on TQS. Hope it just starts working so I can catch up on the shows.

Well $100 was expensive to tell me that my computer does NOT have any performance issues. If I am having trouble watching a video, the problem is coming from the site that I am visiting (such as the quilt show.)

I told you that I would share my findings...

I used the fix for flash player offered in this link and now, for the first time in months, I can watch the TQS shows! This fixed my chrome problem. I don't know if it will work for explorer or firefox but I don't use them regularly.
