    Unable to watch any videos! ALL FIXED!!!

    I can't get any of the videos to load. I am logged in, but when I choose a show to watch - be it an old one, or Ricky's Rhapsody Quilts current one, the area where the video shows, is just a blank black box. If I right click on it, it says "Movie Not Loaded". I have the most current Adobe Flash Player installed (10.2.152.26).

    I tried to watch on my desktop and my laptop. Same thing. I guess the site is not loading the videos at all. I sure hope this is fixed soon, as this afternoon was the perfect time for my watch Ricky's show and do some handwork I had planned.

    Please help!

      Hmmmmm. I can get the videos signed in as me or signed in as you. Let's try this: Reset your wireless router. We have had some problems with people with Apple's "Airport" router. See if a reset works and let us know. If it doesn't, email me at mailto:thequiltshow@gmail.com and we can try some other tests.

        For whatever it is worth I am on an iPad using an Apple wireless connection to my local phone company DSL. I can load the shows.

          Okay, I will reset the router... I think that means to unplug it and wait a minute, then plug it in, and reboot. FYI, I am on a PC with XP. I used to get the videos no problem.

            All routers have a reset button. Very tiny and easily missed. You need a ballpoint pen to fit in the hole to press the button to reset. I have to go to my router box once in awhile to do this. Usually because the phone company has been working on the line.

              Thanks Barbara, I found the reset button and pressed it. Same thing, no videos anywhere on TQS. I can see videos on other websites, and used to watch here too no problem. Weird. They won't come up on either my laptop or my desktop.

              Check that Firefox says I have Adobe Flash Player installed and it is. Checked Adobe website, and it says I am installed and correct version.

              I have an email into Capt'n John, hopefully he can help me more.

                Michelle,

                First thing I would do is reboot everything and try again. This may be a temporary issue with your ISP connection because you've been watching videos since 2007. Has anything changed recently in your computer environment? Anything at all???

                    I do a disk clean up once a week. If I don't the videos sometimes lag. By doing a disk cleanup I am getting rid of any temp download files. It does help. I know this doesn't address the issue started here.

                        Bob The Web Guy!!! I send a help request yesterday to the link you sent me... No one has contacted me yet and I still can't get any videos.

                        FYI, the chocolate video on the Daily Blog today plays fine... that is hosted on Youtube. But none of the TQS videos work for me anymore.

                          Now when I try to load Ricky's Rhapsody Quilts Part 2 that aired today (2/14/11) , not only do I get a blank black area, the contents of the video that is listed on the right side -- well, it isn't there either! Totally blank.

                          If I scroll down to the summary info of this video, it is listed with text, but it says the video time is 00:00. And the Part I, Part II etc are not listed. That is a new problem - the older videos all had the contents listed on the right side and the time of the video and Chapter info with links listed below, just not the video.

                          So now I am getting more nothing!

                            Michelle, I contacted Bob and he said he sent you an e-mail yesterday. Please check your spam folder and see if there's a note from him. He needs to know what's happening.

                              Margo, I just rechecked my email inbox and trash and spam, and I have not received anything from Bob. I did send him the post yesterday via the Tech Help page here. I did get an email from Captn John yesterday but nothing from Bob that I see.
