   I do sleep, honestly! But I am a night owl. You won't catch me up too early in the mornings if I don't have to but I do stay up until about 2am most nights. DH is an early bird so we split the morning school run 3:2. I get a lot of sewing done in the evenings after everybody has gone to bed. It's my quiet time.

Susan, you really conquered that star. It's wonderful to see how people learn from this site.

Okay, well I did it! I buckled. I couldn't resist. I waited a whole week, but it was all I could think about. I shopped around, told myself no, shopped some more.

And THEN!! I found it ON SALE!!!

I just bought Edyta's Spring Bouquet Kit for myself!!! The full kit with all the pieces prefused and laser cut!! Plus the pattern, background fabric, and binding!!

          Happy Holidays to me!!!

Too funny Margo! I really have so many WIP's that it will be hard to justify starting this right away... BUT, I am also concerned that if I let it marinate too long, the fusible will turn to cement and not stick properly when I do get to it. So, I guess that means I just HAVE TO get it started sooner rather than later!!

Funny how we can justify things when it comes to quilts!!

And if you ever have trouble coming up with the justifications, just let me know. I'm known for my justification skills with my friends! 8)

Good for you Michelle. And you are so right about the fusible not lasting too long. You better get to it right away.

Thanks for the positive comments about my star. I really do feel like I accomplished something by sewing a Le Moyne star and getting the points almost. After I looked at the picture, those corner backgrounds would need to be blocked. I think the next one will be easier.

Michelle...  I saw that kit in a shop in Charlottesville VA. It is absolutely stunning. I hope you have a lot of fun. I'm curious to know how you like this style of "sewing" after you've completed a few blocks. What kind of finish will you do around the edges?
                            Happy sewing!

Susan I think your star looks great. It really does feel like an achievement doesn't it? I really want to make a pile more now but might not get a chance until after Christmas.
