    Show 802 - Edyta Sitar

I really enjoyed this show. Recently I have been wondering about making half square triangles because I know there are different methods. I have Margo's version of Alex's half square triangle with applique borders from her book 'Finish It', as my screen saver.. Margo's version is called 'Red Scraps a la Alex' and is posted in her profile.. I remeber Alex on another show saying how red can be used as a neutral and I love Margo's version so I have been collecting reds for a few months.

I have been inspired so Thank you Alex, Margo and Edyta,

    Nan

OHMYGOSH! Am I the only one who sat with a goofy grin on my face through this whole show??

I love her quilts and her sharing attitude! Thanks ARJJ for introducing me to yet another extraordinary talent!

Nan, thanks for your kind words! My MIL also loves that quilt and it stays on her bed in the nursing home for a good part of the year!

What a wonderful show! I love Edyta's method of making half square triangles and have enjoyed making triangles this way. Her tip of keeping the paper in place while pressing the triangle is great, sure helps to avoid bowing and stretching- thank you Edyta. I'm definitely going to follow that tip in the future. Another great show ARJJ, thank you!

I totally enjoyed this show. I am not one who usually likes scrappy quilts - I usually think they are too busy too look at for my tastes. However, hers are gorgeous and I can't wait to start one!

I would love to see close up photo's of Edyta's Quilts- the video gave a blurry view on my computer screen. I would love to see her background fabrics close-up. This was a wonderful show and Edyta is a special person!

I loved the show. We were so lucky here back in June, I think, she came to the quilt guild with her husband. They brought so many quilts and she was so nice and really did a great job showing them off. Actually we have been really lucky with so many wonderful midwest quilters coming and bring the car jammed pack with quilts. The timing of this show was perfect to get me back in the mood for the guild's half square triangle exchange.

I really enjoyed this show. I see how to use more strips and 1/2 sq. triangles. This is my kind of quilting
