    Celebrating TQS Support

Reading recent forum topics brings this to mind.

I will forever be indebted to Martin Favre (and the vision of Gayle Hillert) with Bernina of America for writing the first check to help us create TQS. At the time the plan was to create a website where we could post 13 shows annually and have a 'play page' where folks could post a photo of their quilt and tell a story about it. That, my friends, was the entire vision of TQS.

TQS took on a life of its own and blossomed into the most amazing website for quilters. It has amazingly managed to stay alive thanks to the our sponsors and the TQS online community who supported and encouraged us. We have managed to meet our operating budget - barely. Only recently did I begin actually getting a paycheck from TQS - my portion almost pays my monthly utilities - no kidding.

TQS is an organic, complex business, and very few members fully understand the overwhelming expenses associated with this site. Our production sponsors, site sponsors, star members and visitors to the TQS Shoppe have kept TQS alive. My thanks to each of you who have filtered some of your hard earned dollars into TQS. I love the TQS family and trust that it will be able to continue for many more years - so tell a friend and thank our sponsors.

Thanks Ricky and Alex for all your work with TQS! As a small business owner, I know it takes LOTS of nitty gritty work on the business end of anything to provide the goods and services we enjoy. I surely appreciate all your work along with the vision and support from Bernina and TQS sponsors. TQS members have also brought creativity and encouragement since day one.

This site is truly unique and I often tell friends about it. At renewal time, I also take advantage of the free 6-month membership to pass on to friends so they will become future TQS members themselves.

    Thanks again!

Thanks Ricky, for all you do, and to Alex for all she has done as well, The TQS website has reached out to me personnally as well, and I know and appreciate all the unbelievable time and money that has gone into each program. Sometimes it isn't the pay but the achievement and how it makes each one of us feel. Your team is the best and deserves all the praise that each one of them deserves, the list is long, but each cannot stand without the other. So my hat goes off to each and everyone. Thank you very Much.

Right from the start I thought TQS offered me quite a"bang for my buck" and I hope it will continue to expand my horizons for many years to come. Thank you!

Those of us who are self-employed are aware of the long hours and sacrifices it takes to start a new business. The videos alone are worth the price of the membership. Thanks for all that you do.

From the initial vision Ricky, to what TQS has actually become, there is a world of wonderful things that have happened. Little did I know that, on that morning three years ago when I joined, I would be given so much more than I ever dreamed from this site. I celebrate TQS every single day, whether it be in learning something new, shedding tears for someone's loss, or celebrating over someone's joy.......my life is always touched in some way.

"TQS has changed my life"........and those words don't apply to most of my everyday experiences. I wish only the greatest opportunities and blessings for all of you at ARJJ. Thank you SO much for everything!

Who would have thought that one could find such loving friends on a quilt internet site? Not me! I have found true friends that I know I could count on if needed. That is priceless. I have learned more things than I can list and I have laughed with enough gusto that my DH had to come see what was going on. Keep up the great work and I will continue to support you as long as I can.

Since joining the TQS site (and Paying!) on January 1, 2007, I have been constantly amazed by the wide range of features and information that is available. For about the cost of 2 quilting magazines that don't have anything new in them, I can enjoy innovative quilt programs loaded with techniques and inspiration, participate in the BOM, view the largest quilt show imaginable, get help with any problem-quilting related or not- and enjoy friendship with quilters from around the world. ARJJ is doing so many things right, and I just hope they can continue even in this most challenging economy. Marge

I have recommended this site to many of my quilter friends, telling them that you get good value for your dollar.

Most online quilting videos (and I have seen many!) display on our computers at very poor quality. Not so the videos produced by TQS. You and Alex have obviously invested in top-of-the-line, state-of-the-art technology -- and it shows! Furthermore, that investment makes a significant and concrete difference to your viewers / members -- clearer videos, useful close-ups, etc.

Not only are you and Alex warm and inviting personalities with incredible knowledge of both quilting and the quilting world, but you obviously put in long hours to create the many opportunities for TQS members to participate in that world.

We appreciate you and your investments of $$$ and time to make TQS the best!

                    Rock on!

Being new the site I must say I wish I had came sooner. I love it and I'm learning so much. I loved Alex's show on HGTV and must have found it just as it ended. I only saw a few episodes but learned so much. Alex came to Carmel and it was so much fun to meet her. As a new quilter she recommended I join. I didn't right away but kept it in my mind. A few months later I joined. I am learning so much and even with my limited time on here I've "meet" great people. Thanks so much for all the hard work!!

Alex, I found show #307 Paula Nadelstern where Ricky demonstrates his mitered border technique.

In the same series, #310 with Luxin Newman Ricky demonstrates his binding technique with the special ruler. I ordered the ruler & it really works well!

Hope one of these 2 shows are what the folks were looking for.

Alex and Ricky, I have to join the "Amen" crowd, through your hard work, attention to detail, your combined quilting experience you have provided us with a fantastic world wide community, quality shows with the best teachers affording us the opportunity to grow as quilters. I have been a Star member since the beginning and have absolutely no regrets except that I still don't have enough time for quilting. Thank you and I plan to be a member for a long time.
