Closed Captions on Quilt Shows for the Deaf??

    Hello
Are any of the shows closed captioned or subtitled for those of us who do not hear?

I looked at a few but could not find a way to get this feature, hopefully there is a way so the deaf can enjoy and learn from the shows. :-)

    Thank you!

Although I am not hearing impaired, I think this is an excellent suggestion for a TQS enhancement. I'm amazed at the growth in TQS features and functionality over the past few years. So, hopefully, this enhancement will not be too far from reality--although I do not know what's involved in providing this service.

        Thanks for the nice responses!!!

I do realize it's very costly to caption things, and it's probably why you tube rarely has captions too.

Even if there is a script of some kind we could read while we watch the video a few times would be awesome. How do I connect to the proper people about this? Simply Quilts, Fons and Porter and a few other quilting shows are closed captioned on our local PBS channel, I recorded them and watch them over and over...it's soooo nice!

I love to quilt. I am a self taught quilter who has been quilting for 30 years and I just love it. Nothing like a burst of color to come alive!!!!

Up in the 2nd purple taskbar, there's a link to contact TQS directly. Whenever I've done it, I've always received a reply. It's worth a shot.
The script idea might be a way, or maybe it can be done for the dvds.

Wow, this is such a super idea. Of course, I don't know anything about the costs to add such a feature, but if there is anyone who can solve the problem, it's the folks here at TQS. Sure would be something to aim for...

This is a great idea. As someone who lost hearing temporarily due to a virus, I missed many things. Some of my favorite shows were not closed captioned. I am fortunate...most of my hear returned.

Also as we age we loose some hearing. I still keep the CC on the TV.
