Peg, I love the idea of using crystals in the spider web for dew drops, too. What are E-bead droplets? Are they an oval bead or something?

Anne, E-bead droplets have the holes at the tops rather than centered and the mass of the bead is below the hole so it sort of looks like a drop of water or dew ready to fall. If they have AB colored clear beads that is what I will use.
I love working with beads and have been for quite some time. But have to admit I usually am making an amulet bag or knitting with them rather than putting them on quilts.

Just watched Ricky's show and am juiced to try a Kaleidoscope now. Those quilts in his montage were wonderfully creative and so so beautiful. Thanks Ricky for coming up with yet another great concept.

Thanks, Peg. I think I have some of those beads in my stash! Didn't know what to call them.

Sorry it is in my blog Way too Kool with borders. I will have to post it in show and tell later today.

I watched my KK DVD twice the other day while knitting and did not see anywhere how to adjust the strata that Ricky spoke of. I sent Ricky an e-mail but do not expect a response until he returns from the Gal. islands. I am so jealous would love to have gone but other things on the agenda. Will post his response when it comes.

I've wondered about that too. Perhaps all he was going to say was that if your strata doesn't turn out long enough for all your pattern pieces, you can simply make another set that's 12" long or so. That's what I think I would do.

I also noticed that for the "nose" piece, a very small strata would do. I think fat quarters could be used just for this first piece!
