    Episode 303 Laura Wasilowski

This show is fun! New ideas, new techniques and ways to use an iron that I'd never even considered. I love the whimsy and fun of Laura's quilts and hope to see her at a show some day to purchase some of her beautiful fabric.

I love that Ricky gave a demo on how to make a convergence quilt. inspiration strikes!

    Happy quilting!

My first experience with Laura W. was in Huntsville, AL. Loved her then and still think she is very entertaining!

Oh My Gosh!! I knew I was in trouble when Ricky mentioned the incontinent iron. LOL Big Time! It was such a fun show. Keep them coming. I also had give away envy. The audience really made out.

      Really enjoyed the show.

I just finished watching the show. What a terrific show! It was fun from start to finish. I really enjoyed seeing Laura's fusible technique and she was a very entertaining guest. The treasure chest was overflowing and I am also green with envy of the audience members with their take home stash. Sandi in FL.

A friend called me this morning and said I had to watch this show it was meant for me - well since Ricky dubbed me the convergence queen of Texas it was just my show from the start. But the jokes were great and an incontinent iron - at my stage of life I wish it was just my iron LOL - and everything else was wonderful. I keep saying each new show is my favorite and then the next one comes along. Oh well you are allowed to have lots of favorites aren't you? Ann

I really liked the show too. I cut a couple of sqares and tried Ricky's convergence right away!

Hey gang. Because of your pleas, we started making goodie bags for you too. Lilo, TQS Wizard is the keeper of the 'extras', and from time to time we have little quests or contests for you to have a stab at getting some of the goodies too. The manufacturers are very gracious, but they couldn't possibly provide something for 30,000 of you - so we do the next best thing.

Also, you'll be happy to know that only TQS members get to be in the audience now, so only TQS members get goodies. Tons of non-members in the old audience scored and left the studio still not joining. Some even tricked the system and came on multiple days. We even had audience members asking, "Where do we watch these shows?" Yikes!

You might think it's bull-headed on our part, but we say if you're gonna get in to see the fun and perhaps get some goodies, you've got to at least be a bona fide TQS member.

Ricky, I can't believe anyone would attend a show and NOT join TQS! I joined before I saw a show, if I remember right. I just knew the shows would be a first-rate production--and I have not been disappointed, either! I had so much fun watching the show with Laura W.! This show is definitely a favorite and I'll watch it again. Judy in Torrance

I need a quick gift, but one that really looks artsy and time consuming. Thanks, Debbie

I'm polishing my halo, because I'm a member (a very happy and satisfied one), knowing that I can't make the trip half way across the world for any taping. They look like such a lot of fun! The cheeky gate crashers should get a smack with a 24 inch ruler, or you could empty pots of leftover dye over them, Ricky!

Red letter day on my calendar this year: Friday, 15th of August, when I'm going to be in Birmingham at Festival of Quilts for Ricky's evening. Can't wait!

I forgotten to add (incontinent brain, perhaps  ):

When I paid for series one, I thought: A metre of fabric costs about £18 here in the UK. An English quilting magazine is about $7.50. So TQS membership is amazing, incredible, stupendous value for money.

I enjoyed this show, as well. This past year in Quilting in the Desert, Laura taught a class in the room next to ours and there was a lot of singing and laughter coming out of that room. Our quilt teacher said, jokingly, that she never wanted to be placed next to Laura ever again because they were having way too much fun. Now I can see why. A very talented lady.

The show was just great! Since I've been banging at all the boundaries of traditional quilting - ie: MACHINE applique (ha) yeah, I know, that's not really that much is it? ha

Well, I've been a hand piecer and always hand quilter until TQS came into my life. Now I'm learning FMQ, and MACHINE applique, and now I'm going to be comfortable with FUSING! Woo Hoo! And then there's the 'quarter-inch-or-so' seams....and HEAVEN FORBID.....cutting without a ruler, right Alex? ha I mean, before long I'll even be enbellishing! My, my, my! Sometimes you just can't keep 'em down on the farm, can you?

That's what TQS has done for me is to present me with millions of ways to think out of the box and it just seems that once an idea is out of the box, THERE AIN'T NO WAY TO GET IT BACK IN!!!!

Lynn -- that is too funny about the idea once it's out of the box there is no easy way of putting it back in. This site is helping my mood today. Thanks,
