I do hope you are not going to report us to the quilt police for 'behaviour liable engender sticky fingers near fabric'.

Susan, I have been really enjoying what you have been doing with your stars. Great fun. Wish I had a programme like that, but they don't work on a mac.

Rita, actually, V6 does work on a Mac. (which Renata is using). I've never used the Quilter portion of the program, but there is a Mac v6 Yahoo forum that tells all about how to do this. Let me know if you want more information about this. I'm not a Mac person, but can point you to some folks who are. Let's do this through email so we don't get off on a Mac/PC tangent!

I just received my Lustrous Squares kit from Christine this morning. Lustrous is an understatement! Really lovely fabric!

Beverly, I am so glad you like the fabrics! I'm working on another version (I think I mentioned it in my newsletter) with black-and-white center fabrics, and the same ombres surrounding the centers. Here is my Lustrous Squares quilt top (I hope I have attached it correctly). I definitely have ombre fever!!

Isn't it amazing to see what a difference changing the value makes?? I really like the last one with different colors but lots of room for fun quilting!
I'm just so stinkin' traditional!

                    Christine, your fabrics are YUMMY!!

Hi Elizabeth, If you scroll down to Sue Henyon's post on Dec. 8, you can see her comment. It sounds as though she has the scoop on that. I would love to know more, too!

EQ can be run with a MAC, so can Bernina V6 software which has a quilting program. It's expensive if you are not interested in digitizing embroidery. I don't know about the tricks of running Windows programs on a MAC, but according to the Electric Quilt website, you can. V6 will run on MAC, too. If you are interested in the Bernina program, there is a whole Yahoo forum for V6 and MAC that tells all about how to set the software up.

Thanks so much, Susan! I sort of get by using Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign to play around with ideas, but a program for quilters would be better, I'm sure. When I was working on my book, I did a series of layouts in InDesign to show how I wanted the book to look, and C&Twas great to listen to my ideas. But I digress. . . . (I just don't want to get up and do the dishes.)

I defer the housework quite a lot myself Christine. 8) I used to be so house proud - now I quilt! Net result, I am happier.

Oh, Yes. I have EQ6, I think it is, but haven't used it in quite a while. You need Parallels to run it. It's a little bit tricky. (What you don't use...)
