Jeanie, if we don't have Photoshop Elements but have Paint Shop Pro 7 and are pretty familiar with how to use it, do you think we can fake our way through the software part? I'm not new to printing on fabric or manipulating photos, but I'm looking forward to your hints.

So, I just saw the image for the TQS Badge,
      learn/projects/
I bet I can use these lessons and then print that on fabric as well.

Mary Kay, I printed just my name on fabric then appliquéd the star for may name tag, and it worked great!

Very cool. You are the applique queen. I should really practice my curved piecing and piece the silly thing For now I'll go with the one I created about 3 years ago, it's weathered but familiar.

Carole, Yes, you should be able to use Paint Shop Pro. Nothing I'm going to show is unique to Photoshop Elements, but the terminology may be different. If you run into problems trying to "convert" what I demonstrate to Paint Shop Pro let me know and I'll try to help. I have versions 8, 10 & 11 of Paint Shop Pro, but I haven't used it in a while so it may take me a little bit to find answers to your questions.

Thanks, Jeanie. I'll let you know if I run into any problems. I just wanted to avoid the cost of new software at this point, especially if what I have will come "close enough."

So glad for the upcoming classes!

My son has Photoshop CS5 I can use. Is that OK instead of the Elements program? I'm pretty computer & software savy but have never used either PS program. (I've used photoscape, a free download for photo editing.)

I love printing photos on fabric and love the wow! factor it adds to little gifts. And I put old family pix on a denim jacket ala The Vintage Workshop and love that!

Hi Joyce, Yes, CS5 will work just fine. The menu locations are a little different, but the terminology is the same. I have CS5 as well, so just let me know if you run into any problems.

Perfect timing for me too- I am just about starting to organize photos and trying to decide what method to use to transfer them to fabric so I eagerly await the lessons.
And I have PSE 8 so it will teach me alot. Thanks for the links to the tutorials too.
Where would I find the first video? I got the link for the second one through the email newsletter- I must have missed the link first time!

Hmm, I wonder if not knowing that you can ( and should) tell your computer that you are taking your card out is the reason my photo program is messed up?
