    What is karma?

I see the word "karma" with plus and minus signs. What does this mean?

We don't know. However I have discovered that if you hover the cursor over the minus sign it says smite and over the plus sign it says applaud. It is possible to increase someone else's karma clicking on the plus sign but you can only do it every 6 hours. We haven't worked out if smiting people makes any difference to anything yet

:P Connie, I think it's smitten. But mine just says 0, so I don't have any at all.

Eileen, I clicked on the plus sign and gave you a Karma. Hopefully, it is of the "good" kind!!!

I'm smitten with quilting. Does that count?

I'd like to know why this function has been added to the site??? Is it to entertain us?? Should we try to collect 'karmas'?? And why? Do I get a private audience with Captain John when I achieve 100 karmas?? Will I get kicked off the Forum if my 'karma' reaches -10??
And finally, are we going to have a challenge sometime? Produce a quilt that's 24x24 on the theme of 'Karma'??

Perhaps Karma is similar to "Like" on Facebook or "Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down" on YouTube. We'll see...

Funny that smite has a negative connotation and smitten is a good thing!
