Making friends

I would just like to say that I have received friendship requests from Claralawrence, BarbCA and zippitydodaw. I am not intending to cut you out and I have been clicking on the 'approve' button yesterday & several times today, alas, as yet to no avail. I will keep trying and hopefully we will finally be connected.

I wish the message buttons would hurry up & work too

Rosemary, when I clicked on the 'accept' buttons it took over 24 hours for the magic to happen.

Wow! I've never had to wait that long. For me, if I click on "Accept", then close the window myself, wait for a few seconds then click the "reload" button in my browser, then the friend always appears in my list. Could it be that your requests are working, but just not giving you feedback?

No idea, Nancy. As long as it works I'm a happy bunny! Right now I'm just feeling like somebody is trying to turn me into an IT expert. But I'll get there .... eventually.

Just checked again and the same three are still pending :angry: I have re clicked on approve - hopefully it work sometime this year :dry:

Rosemary, have you tried going into your profile and clicking on the 'friend invite' at the top. That has worked for me.

Hi Rita, just tried that but don't know if anything has worked - although I didn't have emails to put in, so I just went down the list towards the bottom of the page and clicked on a couple of friends that aren't 'official friends yet'

I've done it! I've finally managed to approve friends with Clara, Barb & zipptydodaw, and Geneva who's request came in over night.

I went to 'Connect', 'Profile'. clicked on the small icon of the 2 bodies which opened up a small window showing my requests. I then double clicked on the first approve button. I then went and clicked elsewhere on the background page and the small window disappeared and the number of pendings went down by one. so I repeated the experiment. and it worked! :blink: :silly: :woohoo: :woohoo: :cheer:

I'm trying to approve my very first friend request by clicking on the approval button, I'm going to try Rita's suggestion and see if that works.

I followed Rosemary's instructions and it seems to have worked :woohoo: I couldn't let my one friend request get away.
