    Has TQS been Hacked?

I'm finding some very strange light blue double underlined links that lead to "questions" having nothing to do with TQS. One is on Month 4 PDF to download under the BOM Lessons. Two more are in a message under "Jump on Board". Are these links supposed to be there?

The bizarreness continues. I just looked at a pdf under month 4, and it has disappeared, but two more of the links appear on the BOM first page.

Susan, I'm not seeing the links, but have contacted John.

Sometimes you have to hover over the area. The ones on the BOM page are in the introductory paragraph and in the November bullet.

It happens in Google Chrome, but not in Firefox.

Weird! I'm in Google Chrome too, and I don't see anything in any of those places. I've called Alex and she is calling Bob.

Susan, please keep posting where you see them!!

Well, now it's not happening. I logged off and back on a couple of times. Maybe it's my set-up. Creepy, time to run the virus scans.

                Hello Susan,

This is Bob Bigelow, I'm the web master. Let's see if we can figure this out, so I have a few questions:
[list]1. Are you able to take a screen shot of what you're seeing on your computer? If so, send it to contact
                2. What operating system are you using?
                3. Does it always appear in Chrome every time or is it sporadic?
                4. Does it ONLY appear in Chrome or does it appear in any other web browser like Firefox or Internet Explorer?[/list:u]

I logged into your account and have scanned our website for a virus but did not find anything. I checked all the different web browsers and cannot make the same thing happen. It may be there, lurking in the background but to make sure, please scan your computer for viruses to make sure it's not on your system. Let me know the results. If you find a virus, please tell me the name of the virus so I can research it.

Also, the Month 4 pdf file for the "Two of Us" BOM is not even available until April 1, so I'm not sure how you saw the link to that.

Hi Bob, I'm running the virus scans now, probably shouldn't be online while I do it, but I can run twice. This only happened for a little while, just before I posted it. It was only in Chrome. Once I logged off of Chrome and back on, it stopped. If it happens again, of course, I'll report it. I'm using Windows 7 Pro. Actually, I got a pop-up when I logged on to TQS and said I'd been selected as a daily winner of something and started asking for email. I didn't give any.

If I see any again, I'll take a screenshot.

The PDF I'm talking about is in Margo's classroom.

Bob is right, the Month 4 instructions, my video and the PDF are not supposed to be active until April 1.

Ok, thanks Susan. If it happens again, please take a screen shot or try to copy exactly what the link says so I can investigate further.

                        Thanks,
                        Bob Bigelow

Bob, can you tell me how to do a Screen shot?
I use a laptop PC running Firefox, if that matters.
                          Thanks.

I don't know about a PC but on a Mac it's Command Shift 4 then you drag the icon over the area you want to take a screen shot of and when you let go it takes the screen shot and it appears on your desktop as an image.

In Windows 7, under Accessories there is the Snip-It Tool, very easy to use.
