    Question about "Embroiderer's Corner"

At the moment it states that this is a "A place to post questions and comments on digitized embroidery."

Could the word "digitized" be replaced with "any type of"?

At the moment that section is very restrictive. I'm sure I'm not the only TQS member who does a lot of embroidery, but mainly by hand. Right now I feel that I cannot post anything in "Embroiderer's Corner" because "digitized" does not apply to what I do.

    What do you think??

You know I didn't even pay attention to that wording. I did go back and look at it though and I think the reason they did that is because it is under the topic "Sewing Machine Sensibilities" and they figured it would be for folks who have embroidery machines.

I agree with you that there needs to be a general embroidery section though. I love all embroidery including hand embroidery and it would be nice to be able to ask questions.

I've been working on a hand piece with Brazilian embroidery for years and put it away after getting stuck and having 'no one' around that knows how to do it.

I wonder if it would be good under Threads and Embellishments?? It is a bit limited in there to just types of thread and not what you do as such with it.

Do you mean embroidery in general or as in art quilt embellishment or all of the above?

Not sure I'm making any sence this morning!! Where's the coffee....

It would be nice to have a general embroidery section. I am doing several Red work projects by hand.
I have finished two red work Christmas wall hangings and need to make a decision on how to quilt them.

I love doing these embroidery projects because they are good 'take along' projects.

I'd be interested in a hand-embroidery section, too! I also love redwork as a take-along project, and love hand embroidery in a quilt project! Kathy B.

I, also think a hand embroidery section would be good. After all--lots of time crazy quilts have hand embroidery on them. I am working on a piece that has drawn work on it.

Ooops! I didn't notice that this was under the overall heading of 'Sewing Machine........'.

Overall I think there are too many headings. Quite a number could be amalgamated.

True the section is under the machine section...but I still don't really see a fit for hand embroidery in the sections listed on the forum.
It doesn't quite fit under hand quilting or embellishments.

I guess sometimes having too many topics can limit the chatter on the forum. If a subject comes up...we all tend to look for the place where it belongs.

I do a lot of hand embroidery, traditional, Brazilian and silk ribbon. I would be happy to help others with problems if I can. Maybe a topic under the new forum topics until we see how many are interested. then Maybe we can have a dedicated site. Anyway give me some feedback and I will try to set something up. Ann
