    Bernina B770

The Sewing Machine store has a "Classroom" machine used at a quilt show. Does anyone have a review on the Bernins B770 quilters' edition? The store is selling the B770 with quilter kit, rolling bag and an extension table. The price is $4699.

I'd like to make a decision before the end of the week. Thanks.

Looks like a great price to me. I would ask for an extra set of bobbins, 5 are not enough for me.

I do not own the B770. But I friend has one and I keep borrowing it. It is one great machine. I keep thinking of buying one for myself.

Hi there! I just joined, looking for some info on my brand new Bernina 770QE and saw your question. I just bought mine brand new back in February of this year (I haven't figured out how to see the date of this posting, so I apologize if this is way after the fact!), and it's my first Bernina.
        1. That's a great price! Mine was about $5600 out the door, without the bag. I had an opportunity to buy a used one from my dealer for a little less than $4000, but I wouldn't have been able to have the Bernina warranty, nor all of the quilter's package items.
        2. I love, love, LOVE my machine! I do mostly quilts: piecing, Applique, ruler quilting and FMQ. I'm one of those "precision quilters" and used to waste a lot of time unsewing crooked, too small/wide seams, etc. With the only change being my machine, my results have increased exponentially, and time spent achieving then have decreased accordingly...and both continue to do so. I'm not sure you can put a price on that!
        3. As with any Bernina, the dealer/customer service makes or breaks the deal. My dealer is great.
        4. This machine does so much, and does it well! In the few months I've had mine, one of my biggest problems is staying focused on the project at hand, because I keep finding techniques to try, feet/attachments to buy and projects to make that aren't a quilt. (I realize that this is a personal problem. LOL) It does make my hobby of sewing so much more fun being able to try new things that I wouldn't even have heard of, much less considered attempting before...and being SUCCESSFUL with them!

Well, I hope this helps you! Anything negative I would have to add here is about Bernina themselves, and from everything I've seen and heard, is well known.

Good luck & I hope you got that machine!
