    Ruler work in progress

Nice work Karen. I have found that learning to listen to the machine helped me more with even free motion stitches, even when using rulers, than anything else. Once I realized that, it became a LOT easier...a LOT. Before, when just trying to watch the movement of my quilt with the pressure of my foot pedal made it very difficult to get even stitches, especially with rulers. Just a thought.

Well, I finally got a chance to work on my table runner ruler-work project. Life gets in the way of fun sometimes!!

Anyway, this is the oval ruler work--front and back. I'm still learning, so some of the lines are a bit wonky and my stitches aren't all the same length (I usually do quilting with my BSR). But, this is so much fun!!

Karen, that's a great start with ruler work--keep up the good practice and I hope you'll continue to post what you accomplish! B)
