You Want to Sell your Bernina Software?

Are any of you not using your up-do-date version of Bernina Embrodiery Software. Here is my tale of woe. I lose things. Easily. So I lost my toggle key to my software and contacted Bernina who told me NO replacement toggle. And I bought the entire package a second time. I took my computer to the repair store and put the key in my pocket as I picked up the computer. Now I have lost the toggle again!!!! I won't even bother to ask for pity from Bernina. If I can't get the product (or just the latest toggle) at a great discount, I will have to come to the conclusion that I wasn't meant to own a product with such irreplacement parts.

They'll both turn up when you don't expect it. But right now it must be mega-annoying.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that at least one of them turns up soon.

I have about a dozen of these little USB sticks, some for work, some for personal stuff. I have just put really big and colourful shapes on them so that I find them more easily when (and that happens often) I misplace them. I just use a leftover piece of that stiff and sticky interfacing that's used for making fabric postcards, cover both sides with a bright and cheerful scrap of fabric, sew around the edges with a satin stitch, make a hole with a punch and a one of these metal grommits, thread a piece of ribbon through the 'USB Stick Keeper' and the USB Stick, and job done! I do the same with rotary cutters, scissors, and rulers. It's too easy to 'lose' them, and they are expensive to replace.

The last one was lost in California and I now live in Oregon. This is just a hobby for me. I will find another software program to play with if it doesn't turn up. Anything over $1K is a bit excessive to replace three times.

Price will always stop me from buying that software.

I've said this before on the forum, you must ask St,Anthony to help you find it, it always seems to work for me.
You may not find it straight away but it will turn up probably in the most unexpected place.
My DH accidentally threw away into the dustbin my Seiko watch so I asked St Anthony and it turned up and so many times this has happened.
I'm not partcularly religous but if it works ???????

Happy you found your toggle. I can't imagine how I'd feel if I lost mine...

I did find it. It will never leave this house. That will limit the search to the premises.

You see just thinking about St Anthony works.
Glad you found it, I expect it was in that place called "Somewhere"

                        Anne1,

That's exactly where I found it. We must be kindred souls.

Now that you have found your dongle (toggle), attach it to a pigtail cord or hub. It will be a small cord that has a USB "receptacle" on one end and a USB plug on the other. Keep the dongle attached to the cord. It will save wear and tear on the dongle as you take it in and out.

Or, attach it to a necklace with a hook to keep your dongle. The larger it is, the harder it will be to lose.

                            So glad you found it.
