830 behaving badly (probably just me)

usual disclaimer..love this machine but she woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. she went traveling to quilt group on sunday and got her out of her suitcase this morning and everything running great til i realized my length and stitch knobs were totally non functional. tried all i know. on off on off with the power. read the manual. called the store. no clue. don't want to take her in if someone here might have an idea of what's wrong. i just don't like going into the shop because some damn piece of fabric might jump into my bag and there goes my no more fabric resolution. HELP!

Always a bad idea to get "medical" advice on line. Your baby needs to see the doctor!

Had that happen on the width button on mine. Had to go to the doctor and get fixed. An inside snap connector had broken on the darn thing. Be careful when you go though. Those fabrics are dangerous and do have a great desire to get into bags.

But the fabrics may be needed to cushion the precious machine on the way back home.

Sounds to me something has worked it's way loose. I'm sure it isn't anything too serious but I know what you mean about taking that baby to the shop. I like to keep mine at home too! Marilyn

Becky, think of it as supporting the small local retailer and helping keep them in business ;-)
