    Bernina 1120, uncooperative feed dogs

I used to be able to lower the feed dogs in order to do free motion quilting and darning. Now however, I never know when the dogs will stay down and allow me to work. Does anybody know what I do to keep the dogs lowered? Thanks, Jennywren

PS my machine is 20 years old.

    Hi Jenny,

Have you tried taking a peek under and around the feed dogs to see if any lint is trapped there ? That can definitely mess things up !

There is an excellent Yahoo group called Bernina Thirty Somethings
where I am sure you would get help regarding your feedogs.
