    Weightless Quilter

Just wondering if anyone has seen or heard of the weightless quilter. It hold your quilt up off the quilting table so it is easier to move while you are doing free motion quilting.
Looks like it might work, but would like to hear from anyone that has one or seen it at a show or Expo

Judy, took a quick look at it yesterday, I'm going back again today. It looks like it works really well. I'll ask if I can take pictures and then see if I can figure out how to put one here. If not, I can e-mail it to you.

          Judy,
I did try it yesterday and there was no drag on the quilt at all. I'm going to go back today and buy one for myself.

That is so good to know, I might have to buy one thru her online site. Once you get it home and use it a few times let me know if you still like it. What sort of sewing machine will you be using it with? I have a HQ Sweet Sixteen sit down machine and also a Bernina 830. I want to make sure it will work for both of them.
Patsy Thompson also sells a quilt suspension system for quilting, but I like the looks of the weightless quilter better, it looks like it might be a little more user friendly.
Thanks again for the info, please keep me updated.

              Judy,

I decided to think about it some more. They told me that they have videos on their website Weightlessquilter.com showing it being used with 5 different machines. My machine is on a shelf attached to my cutting table which looks like two low bookcases back to back so I would only be able to have it hold one side of my quilt. I did use it and I did like it a lot. If you want more after you see the videos on the site, I did have my husband take a short video of me using it that I can send to you.
