i wonder if any body bought this gadget ?
if it is promising as it looks like.
    please feedback on it.
i plan to buy it but it is so expensive that i wonder if it worth it.
is it electric or on battery?
do you need to buy new rotary blades ?
    thank you for the input
    becky

I haven't bought this, but did see it in a quilt shop. It isn't battery operated or electric. Think of it like a groove lined with "sandpaper" . Not sure if that's what they use. You run your rotary blade through the groove. Looks like you would eventually have to replace the sandpaper. According to reviews it doesn't get rid of pin nicks but does extend the blade life.

I bought the electric one at Christmas for myself. have used it several times. If the blade is dead dull...over used !or
nicked.....then you may not have good luck ! But if you" dress" the blades between big cutting sessions
as you would with other knives....then I think I am getting longer wear from the rotary blade. Hope that helps...

          thanks marilyn!
i just saw few days ago on tv, that a craftier sharpen her perforator - the tool that makes holes - with aluminum foil that you use in the kitchen.
i wonder if it will help a rotary knife, i am going to use it, may be it will make life longer (for the knife it is )
