Thanks Diane. Looking at adding a small hole in the base so the Slidelock can be hung. Have a couple of other things in the works as well.

You bet I've tried this! I ordered the 14" size and found it to be SO useful that I promptly ordered the 24" lighted Slidelock.
Without a doubt this is just about the best tool for quilting that I've ever bought. Everyone should have one.

Hi, I have had the short and long Quilters Slidelocks for a few months now and I think they are one of the best things I have bought. I now feel completely safe cutting fabric and the rulers certainly do what they say..................they do not slip.
I am in Australia and couldn't buy them directly from the company because of shipping restrictions, but if anyone is interested you can buy them from Erica's Fabric and Craft and get them shipped overseas. At the time this company paid for half the overseas postage over a certain purchase amount, so the cost was reduced considerably.

Yes, the Slide Locks have been modified since I purchased mine -- so many choices now! Mine are the clear ones. I took a black "Sharpie" marker to the edge of the plastic. That gave me just enough of a color difference so that I didn't place my rotary cutter in the wrong area.

I just watched a demonstration online of the quilters slidelock rulers - the 24", the 14". You can choose the bright green base/edge or a more subtle light blue. Can anyone comment on the brightness and possible distraction of it? It was mentioned in the demo that some people would find the bright green light too intense. I don't want the 3-piece set, with the lighted line ruler - if you buy the set, the shipping is free. I think the almost $17 shipping to Wisconsin is excessive for 1 24" ruler, & that is what is holding me back. I have a lot of experience with shipping costs, & I know that I could mail a package the size and weight of this ruler for less than $17. This is the regular shipping cost, not expedited.
