I've seen Magna Hoop advertised and am intrigued. I just finished embroiderying the quilt designs on a quilt and the hooping was a challenge. This product looks like it would make it a lot easier. I'm a little concerned about whether the magnets are strong enough to work through all the layers. Has anyone tried it? Any comments or suggestions? -
If your batting is not too thick, it will work. The Magna Hoop will not hold through terrycloth or thick fleece. I was disappointed in trying to use mine to embroider on some hand towels (from Wal-Mart) and the magnets would not hold. I was lead to believe when I purchased it, it would hoop most anything, but that simply is not true. Back to the old adage "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!"
