The sinister reason that you cannot resist crisps(chips)

Ok written in english english rather than american english, as I understand it what we call crisps you call chips, but still it is rather interesting reading - especially the bit about the bosses of the big US food industries not eating their own products for health reasons!

Bummer eh? What is the food industry trying to do to us. Thanks for the link Rosemary, food for thought (forgive the pun!)

Creeps. I know I'm ok unless I have one chip. Same with anything sweet, one taste and it's all over. And, did you know that NutraSweet makes your pancreas think you are drinking sugar? So, no more diet sodas either. Doesn't matter though, because all my old lady friends make fabulous dinners and desserts and how is a person to resist?

This book is out in audio-form for the gluttons for punishment.

thank you rozmary, it is great article.
few days ago i didnt have chips at home so i took a cucumber and add the salt on it, i realized that what i am curving is actually is the salt.
since then no chips at my home, only cucumbers with salt, and now i am working taking off the salt to a lower level

I didn't know that about nutrasweet, it sounds dangerous.

I also read recently that aspartame was originally developed as ant poisen - icky! So sugar might be bad for us but it seems to be a sight better than any of the other sweetners that have been developed in the last 50-100 years.

Becky if you want a change from cucumber, celery is great for dunking into salt. I have just read an article from the Harcombe forum that perhaps salt isn't quite such the bad guy that most doctors would have us believe....

step by step, now i am so (almost drunk from happiness) happy to tell you guys that after i reached the plato few months ago, i lost couple of kg., so now i am under the 100kg sign, almost going to celebrate with a cake (joke).

i had a virus few days ago, (the positive side ....it helped me to lose few grams as well but i will stick to the traditional way of losing weight).i finally feel it in the pans/trousers sooo happy.

so i try to reduce the salt in my eating but it will take a while.
with this kind of creazy weather (march and still snowing!!) i eat still earthy food and it is with a lot or far amount of seasoning.

rosemary, thank you again for so informative article, more and more lately we get to know how the food industry and other industries do their goal as money (that is fare) but the sad thing is - it is on the account of our health, i dont think we do have a solution, because they do have so much money that they can band the law and roles of what is aloud or not in the industry, sad.
                * i hope this message is ....clear ops:
