    May Finishes

Here's my morning's work. It consisted of the second side of binding on six of the eight Mug Rugs. I will be donating these to Cancer Care for their tuck shop.

Great work, Agnes. I have the scraps, just not the inspiration! Hope all your quilting means that Vern is doing well. I'm making progress with PT but I don't see any May finishes for this month.

Georgia--If we discount weekly trips to the clinic for the next six months, things are pretty well back to normal. I have, however, reorganized my hobby time where I retreat to the sewing room and sewing machine during his nap time. Amazing what I can accomplish in an hour or two a day, also stash busting at the same time. Mind you, once I get sewing I often just keep going. During all the waiting and keeping company time at the clinic I am working on a bluework Winter hanging. During TV time I am either hand piecing Dresden Plates, a stash buster, using some FQs from QYW UFO prize from several years ago. I also have others collected over the years that just didn't want to play well in any project. I am pairing two fabrics per wheel. They are too varying to use the same fabric for the center so I found a use for the left over hexes that I was ready to pass on.I think the end result will be pretty eclectic but it is just that point that is endearing this project to me. My alternate TV project is counted cross stitch. So, I am making great progress on many projects.

I have a few more small finishes to share. Mug Rugs are delivered. It may seem silly to have a travel case for a travel mug but I find it easier for transporting when I don't plan to drink until at destination and I'm walking. Those two fabrics I just received last week and both are used.except for triangles that found their way to a WIP bin. Neither was a very big piece.

I actually have something to post. I finished the two wall hanings for my two preschool teachers of my wonderful kiddos.
