    Spring Wednesday

It sure is starting to feel like spring here today. I can't wait to take a walk up to the school to get my kiddo. Yesterday was wonderful except for the mud and puddles, but that comes with spring. I love having my windows open and the kids and dog able to go outside and play and run and get fresh air.

today we have a conference, and grocery shopping, and dance class. Should be a busy day.

I did get a whole bunch of squares sewed together for the blocks that I am working one. I need to cut them apart hopefully today and then pin them together to make the four patch for the block. This is very exciting for me. I think the sun and beautiful weather helped get me out of my funk. On MOnday I also started back on the cross stitch of Tinkerbell I am doing for my little girl for her room. I would like to get it done by her birthday in June.

    Have a great day

Yesterday was a gorgeous day. With rain and freezing later today I "walked" all my errands yesterday. I got thread so I can finish quilting a lap quilt today. The binding is completely finished. I quilted the background first which secured all the other areas and outer edge. I changed table runners on the dining table today and I see need for FM quilting, after having used it on occasion for over ten years. The need has always been there but I ignored it because I was FM challenged. I am still quite FM challenged but I have found the Freedom to see that the root word is Free.

Laundry is the order of the day today. I forgot Kleenex in a pair of pants and this will mean vacuuming the order of the day as well. I plan to get back to the machine as well today.

Good morning! The sunshine sure brightens my mood! Just another work day for me, but I hope to get a little more done tonite than last night. I watched NCIS, then just when I was headed for the sewing room, dd1 called and was in a chatty mood - which is fine - I love talking to my kids too. I made the mistake of crawling under the electric blanket when I was talking to her tho and about went to sleep! DS is supposed to be signing his re-enlistment papers today. It'll be interesting to see what the Army has planned for him now.

Good afternoon now.... took Bonnie dog to the vet this morning...infected ear, allergies starting, etc., so any money for quilting went to the Vet this month Still plugging away with FM on my Christmas YBR. I outlined all the blocks with SITD, then tried a diagonal Serpentine st, quilting from back to front. It's not giving me the result I was looking for so will be ripping that out at first opportunity. We're having our Irish boiled dinner tonight with guests coming so I'm off to begin the desserts.

          Evening everyone,

Well I was up in Madison today. It did not start off well. Since I stayed at my in-laws they leave at 4am for work, no biggie, when I worked I got around that time to get quilting in. But my dsil d*mn dog didn't stop barking until 5:45! I had to be up at 6! So of course I fell asleep for those 15 minutes and didn't hear my alarm! I wanted to kill that rotten little thing! I didn't even have time to get coffee and i NEED coffee when dealing with my father so early in the morning. So thankfully he was still half asleep and had a lorazapam in him so I could stop somewhere and get my coffee. Of course I spill it all over my brand new cell phone! Ugh, I am SO glad the hubby wasn't with me. He would have had a heart attack... needless to say we didn't mention that to him

So UW was overbooked as always and even though I sent a letter a week in advance explaining you can't keep a high-anxiety dementia patient waiting, there we were. Once in I got a fire lit under my butt about how the nursing home is missing labs... well why would I know they were missing if the dr's office isn't calling me in the first place??!!?? Seriously... I ask about every new med to make sure it is being dosed right for 3 months straight. I can only do so much. This place is great with his behavioral issues but have a high managerial turn-over. I thought there was a thing called patient notes to remind everyone of things I forget to ask about every other day I call. AHHHHHHHH I hate getting reemed out for things I try to prevent. So I will end my rant on a high note... once home I did get another baby quilt basted and went to girls night out at the lqs w/ dm, had a fabulous time laughing with the gals and even got in some quilting on said baby quilt. Sorry for the long post tonight but this is my sounding board since dm always seems to be in ear shot when I need to vent. Hope everyone has a good night!
