    It's Saturday..

    Hey Everyone,
I finally found time to post here. looks like alot of us found the place. I've been cutting out fabric today and doing chores. Need to cut out the Suberbowl mystery fabric today too so I have that ready for next Sunday. I'm cutting out both the QuiltBug and Palnet Patchwork one. Not sure which one I will do that Sunday and then the other I will do during the week following.
It's in the 70's here today and it's really nice to have it normal Florida weather again. I hope all of you with snow are staying warm, well bavck to cutting,
    Huggs,
    Cie

[color=#800080]Hi Cie, I had some friends out to the studio for our UFO gathering. We have so much fun. I worked (again) in my hand embroidery blocks. I wonder which year I will get it done? Our main topic we discussed today was dementia. We all told stories of dumb stuff we have done and wondered if we should go ahead and get a prescription for Aricept. Actually while we were laughing at each others stories my cell phone started ringing and I was looking all over for it........then one of my friends pointed out that it was in my pocket.....duh!

I did some cleaning first thing this morning, then pulled out my Thimbleberries 2008 quilt/UFO as DS says he is freezing at his house and his graduation quilt I made him is too small. I told him it was only meant for a twin size bed and since he is using it on a queen size bed, it's no wonder it keeps falling off. Plus I think he tosses and turns a lot. Told him I would show him the Thimbleberries one and if he likes it, I will finish it for him. I started working on the borders - have two sides sewn on, two sides to go of the first border. After that I many change how I do it as I don't really care for the suggested way of finishing it. But we shall see.... Hope to work on it more tomorrow and (GASP!?) get all the borders on in one weekend?? Heavens! What a concept!! @!

What a great Saturday - We tagged along with our gang to the La Verne Heritage Foundation's historic ranch, toured the house and picked navel oranges! What a neat treat for all. Armed with our fruit-picking poles and mesh bags we harvested five bags of oranges, lemons and grapefruit. I can hardly wait for fresh squeezed orange juice!

Home chores tomorrow plus a little applique.
