Margaret, Lorchen and I are staying at the Etap hotel (soon to be Ibis Budget) at Birmingham Airport but sadly it seems to be fully booked now :-( Unfortunately the other hotels seem very expensive and may well be booked by now. I do hope that you manage to find somewhere. Are you driving or coming by train? I have had a look at Premierinn.com and if you are willing and able to pay when booking they have a reasonable price at Birmingham New Street which is only a short ride on the train. Yo may want to check out their website. I hope that helps. Please let us know if you manage to find somewhere.

I hope that we will be able to have a meet at greet each day near the entrance at lunchtime, and for those who will be there in the evenings perhaps we could try and get together for dinner somewhere. Please let me know if you are interested and what dates you hope or plan to be there.

I am really looking forward to meeting you all

Hi Pam. I'm there all the days and I'm very interested in meeting as many as possible both at lunchtime and out for dinner. I'm sure we will have a great time getting to know each other.

Hi Pam, Janet (who you met in Ireland last year) and I are going to be there from 7th to 10th as well. Would love to meet and greet each day and also do a dinner if possible. I have not been to the show in Birmingham before so I don't know where anything is. If you want to organize a dinner then count us in and give point us in the right direction and we will be there.

Rita, Janet and Norma, I am glad to hear that you will be there for the whole show. I have only stayed overnight once and ate at the Hilton. I will have to find out about other restaurants in the area. The first meet and greet we had was a quick 'Hello' photo taking and everyone rushed off again as most of us were only there for a day or due at a workshop. It will be great for us to have time to linger over lunch or dinner, hopefully more that once and get to know one another better. Wendy, I will let you know what is going on once I know so that we can all have the best time together. Sue and Marilyn, we will do our best for our colonial sisters and brothers ;-)

I was only planning to go on the Sunday so I can pick up my quilts. If you do a dinner get together on the Saturday night, I will try to come over for that also. Can't wait to see everyone!

Ok, I have started a document with all your information on. I will get back to you Lorna once we have something definite organised.

Guys, work and grandma duties keep me very busy so I have been very quiet here (Must try and change that!), but Pam has fortunately filled you all in.

Lorna, we can wait together! I will have a quilt to pick up on Sunday after the show closes.

I will be at the show every day, but I have two big commitments. I'm on the committee of the Traditional Group of the British Guild, and so will be on their stand quite a bit. So, if you are looking for me, that's where you can either find me, or somebody there will know what I'm up to.

My friend Patti Hempen is one of the teachers and I'll be spending time with her.

I suggest that I'll be at the Traditional Group stand (very close to the main entrance to the show) every day at the start of the show if anybody wants to connect with me. If anybody wants my mobile number, please, send me a message and I'll give it to you.

Can't wait to meet some of you for the first time! I'm ready to hug!!

I am getting very jealous of all this Festival of quilts talk.....unfortunately I can't go this year but I wish you all a very happy time.
Maybe next year ???? I hope!
