I would probably add a bobbin minder. That's something that I don't have but I want. Since I bury my threads, it would be really nice to be able to stop before running out of bobbin rather than having to pick out all of those stitches, especially when doing tight background work. But I agree!

Sue, what delightful news about you becoming a grandma! How exciting. And finally you explained a mystery to me about why there never seemed to be quilt photos from Paducah. I am so glad you had such a good time. It sounds like the weather was perfect and everyone who went to this great quilt party had a blast.

Rita, I'm with you there on someone coming up with a sturdy, reliable, sewing machine. I would like it to have a large harp sewing space and maybe 12 or 15 really good utility stitches. It seems to me that the big machine makers should come up with something like that with a reasonable price and the sales would probably astonish them.

We should send the specs to all the major machine manufacturers...maybe one would listen.

I guess they should... With 136,192 members, that is a good market don't you think?

I agree with you Andrée they should have a separate plate for single hole work just like the other machines do. Somebody in Janome thought they had a good idea....but it's not! I think sewing machines have become like mobile phones - they try to do too much and the result is they are not very good at most things. All we quilters really need is a machine with a decent harp space, needle up-down, blanket stitch, zig zag stitch, a knee lift, threader and thread snips (maybe not even thread snips). All the other stuff is just icing on the cake. When I am king of the world......
That is the exact machine that I want! Can't wait until you are king....
