AQS Lancaster 2013 -- are you going?

I'm wondering whether any of you will be going to the AQS show in Lancaster. I have a quilt in the show and I'd like someone to take a photo of it for me.

    Thanks --

    Anabeth

Anabeth, I'm just not sure. It could be a day trip for me, so email me your quilt information. If I'm there, I'll take pictures!

Anabeth, congrats on your quilt in the show! I won't make this one this time, so I'm sorry I'll miss your quilt.

I am going. And I will look for your quilt, Anabeth, and Ritzy's too. I know what Ritzy's looks like. Can you post a picture of it here? Is it on your profile? Give me as much information about it as you can. My schedule is filled tight with classes. I am afraid I won't get to do the show justice, not to mention the vendors.

What a wonderful show! I just returned having been there 4 days and took 4 classes. Three of the classes were with Pam Holland and one with Pat Pauly. I learned so much and accomplished a lot. But I need to show you what I saw.

I only had my cell phone so I couldn't get a very good picture of the label. I loved the circle's Anabeth quilted on the round the world blocks. The overall effect was stunning.

It was so much fun to see Ritzy's quilt in person. I went back a couple of times. She'll be glad to know that people stopped to oooh and ahhhh... In fact, I told one group of ladies, "This is my friends quilt and she can't be here to see it. May I take your picture while you enjoy the quilt." They were quite eager to accommodate me. Hopefully, I can upload another photo. If not I will post again.

Lois, how nice of you to take pictures--Ritzy and Anabeth did such beautiful work and I'm so glad you got to see it for us! I watched the Pam Holland episode on TQS--if she was inspiring on the TQS episode, I can only imagine what a wonderful teacher she must be. Would love to hear more about your class when you get the chance.

I am sure there were other TQS members with quilts in the show, but I didn't know who they were. You can see the winner's on the AQS Website and Pam Holland has some wonderful pictures and comments regarding the show on her blogg. I spoke with both Alex and John. I told John about the Loch Lomen 2014 Chinese Whisper Challenge and our "Whispers Across the Pond" group. He said that after the show he will want to do a slide show of our quilts for the daily blog. I thanked Alex for participating in our Flat Pack Party for Margo. Her response was, "Oh, we love Margo!" She was happy to have been included.

Pam Holland's classes were incredible. She produces video companions to in class instruction the caliber of the video journals she produces for the webcite. She is constantly on the move during classes checking in with every member to coment and encourage. I took all three courses she taught. I accomplished alot and learn so much. I will post pictures as I complete the projects. I have read the archives of her blogs. I have learned so much by doing that, not to mention the added bonus of touring the world through her eyes. She is knowlegeable, lovely and oh so kind.

Thank you Lois! I so wish I could have attended this show. 3 classes of Pam Holland? That must have been awesome. She has, to me, the best blog on the internet, so generous with her knowledge. I wonder how she accomplishes all that she does.

Congratulations to all Ritzy, Anabeth, Keith and Teri, your quilts are stunning! How awesome to be displayed in this show. Thank you for sharing your talents.

Anabeth, how did you accomplish all that circle quilting? That's really neat looking against the squares.
