Sorry, I won't be able to be at Houston this year and will miss seeing the Amazing Nines Quilt. Every other year fits into our schedule, so this year is off the list. But I will be there in spirit, so every day at the TQS booth somebody please remember old Snowplow who was there the first year and has been there either in spirit or in person every year since. Hugs, Ann

So sorry Ann, will miss you.

I'll be there this year after missing the past two years! And I live right here! Unforgiveable, but an injury last year prevented me from attending.

I'm in an aerobics class getting in shape for the endurance phase of Quilt Festival!

Houston's not on my radar this year; hopefully 2013. Have a great time, everyone and Congrats to the Amazing 9!

Ok -- so I am strongly considering attending Houston this year. Frontier is having a great sale. I was wondering if anyone knows what night the TQS dinner usually is? I would arrive Wed and leave Sat. I probably won't be able to take any classes, but want to attend the award ceremony, can anyone attend that? I know there is a bunch of you who have Houston experience. Also I don't have hotel yet, but can take my tent, lol. Any advice would be appreciated.

                Hi Sharon and Lois -

I'm going this year and am looking forward to the TQS dinner on Thursday night. This is my first time as a TQS member, so haven't attended the dinner before. Sorry I don't have any advice about accommodations. I've only been once before and got a room at one of the associated hotels both that time and this time.

I hope you will both be able to attend!!

                  Hi Sharon,
I've not attended the AQS dinner, but I usually go to the Winners Circle. It is on Tuesday Evening -6:00-8:00 anyone can attend, usually pretty inexpensive. Seems like $5. but that may have gone up.
                  Hope you enjoy it.

Well, I still can't believe it, but my darling DH said he would pay for Houston, so I struck while the iron was hot and booked it baby!!! So Houston here I come! So Excited. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I am really looking forward to meeting so many of the TQSers. Haven't decided if I will take any classes. Tomorrow I head to Boulder to watch two tapings, which is always a fun and tiring day. Excited to see who the artists are.

Well, so far I have the airmiles to go, just need other things to get into line. I just know I can't push things into place, I try to live by letting things kinda 'fall into place. But Air Miles is a good start!
