Hi, New Here, 2008 BOM question

    Hi Everyone,
This is my first post. I have a biggggg problem!! Besides having a bad case of AADD, I downloaded all the 2008 BOM's and had it on my puter. Problem: Got a new puter and cannot find the files. Can anyone tell me what the name of it was. Maybe I can find it that way. Thanks for any help,, katie

PS how the heck to you put an emoticon on here?

Katie, first of all, welcome! You'll love it here, everyone is so nice.
I'm afraid maybe no one's answered your post b/c they don't have an answer-- lots of quilt experts here, but sounds like you need a 'puter expert! I didn't download mine, just printed them, so I can't help you w/ a file name, but if you can search, try terms such as Garman (designer's last name) or TQS in addition to basic Quilt, Block and Month.
And as for the emoticons, look to the left when you are posting, there's a little selection to pick from
I hope you'll post some of your quilts soon, we love to see everyone's work!

Try "find file", then search any word that you think might give you the results, such as BOM, TQS, etc. (TMA - too many abbreviations!) If all else fails, and you know the files are on the computer, visit the Geek Squad at your local Best Buy store. (You gotta get on the "I'm stupid" line, but they'll figure it out for you!). ORRRRR- ask any kid on your block for help. They know everything. Good luck.

I thought they said the deadline for downloading them was Dec. 31, 2008. I think they are gone now. I'm glad you have the printed pages.

I have what I hope is a simple problem to get an answer for. I downloaded audtio books from a library file on some CD-R discs. Now I want to erase them or record over them with new books. But the file says they are "read only" and I can't erase them and can't figure out how to record over them. Anyone able to help this technoidiot figure it out? :?

Pattisure, if the cd is CD-R that means you can only write to it. In order to erase and reuse it has to be a CD-RW. I'm afraid you're out of luck, sorry. kittykatz
