On another website that I read regularly this site was posted to show winning quilts in the Canberra Quilters Show and lo and behold I recognized a quilter -- Helen Godden (one of the three sisters from the blogs last March. I believe she was the one who brought and left the naughty kangaroo, Skippy) She has a number of entries that are winners and was the artist who contributed the top raffle prize.(which I would love to win it is fabulous) Maybe we could get her to teach the rest of us some of the techniques she used. Or maybe she could be a TQS show guest one of these times. Love her work.

I just took the time (sort of my Artist's Date for the Artist's Way) to look at these quilts again. There are so many fabulous quilts here. Those folks in Australia really rock in the quilting world. I would LOVE to be in one of their guilds. We had a couple of ladies from the Australian embassy in my Virginia guild. They just have the creative gene turned way up high.Comment
