Festival of Quilts in Birmingham :)

I've been thinking about how it would be possible to meet during the show, if anybody wants to. The easiest suggestion I have is as follows:

I'll be standing in front of quilt number 645 on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 12 o'clock for a few minutes. I'll be wearing my TQS pin and a big smile. Quilt 645 is a traditional bed quilt (170 x 170), very dark green background with some colourful patches. So, come and say 'hello'! I'll be handing out biscuits (cookies) to those of us who need to keep up their energy.

lol lol lol.......... Well, that would mean the world has shrunk a lot over night, Sherry.

I live about 8 miles from Newark. And I have a good friend who lives in Newark, Delaware. But 'my' Newark is the original one in Nottinghamshire, England.

So, I'll be in Birmingham (just like Ricky!), England, next week.

I will be going for all four days - up from two last year and one day the year before - it is a really good show. Will try to find quilt 645!! I also have a quilt in this year, the Durham that I marked last year with Lilian Headley at Sedbergh. I am trying to fly the flag for traditional quilts.

I will also be at the Quilters Haven stand helping Karin out, and may be helping out at the Traditional Quilt Group (Quilters Guild).

BTW, two of my welsh quilts are off in LLanidloes for their summer exhibition, and 15 of my other Welsh quilts will be touring the Quilt Fairs with Grosvenor Exhibitions. I think theyre lovely and want to share them.
