Are you talking about the Split Nine Patch? It's gorgeous and right up my alley. I want to make one!! BTW, all of your quilts are lovely.

Last night, my husband I watched the movie "The Proposal", starring Sandra Bullock and Betty White. Betty White's character refers to a beautiful quilt used in the movie as the "baby making" quilt. I thought the movie was cute and worth watching.

Author Jodi Piccult almost always references a quilt in her books. I wrote her via email and asked if she was a quilter - she answered no, but her daughter was interested in sewing. how cool is that?

In the current episode of Sarah's House, which airs on both HGTV and FLN channels in my area, Sarah designs a Master bedroom around an antique quilt.

The old movie "Annie Hall" was on recently and so I watched it for the first time. There's a bedroom scene where there is a lovely patchwork star quilt on the bed. I'm not sure of the star pattern name, but it is a simple four pointed star in a square. The blocks alternate between dark star on light square and light star on a dark square. I was so focused on the quilt that I missed the dialogue during that scene.

I saw a commercial for H & R Block, I think, and it was talking about how they can find you more money in your tax return.

It was about a quilt shop owner and it showed ladies taking a class and the inside and outside of the shop. Cute!

That commercial features a friend of mine, Teri Ayers and her shop is Mountain Creek Quilters in Greenback, Tennessee.

Great gal, great little shop! http://www.mountaincreekquilters.com...html?src=/#4,0

Have you seen the new Maytag washer commercial where a quilt is the star?

I sure wish that I had a photo, but did anyone else notice Steven Tyler last night on American Idol? He was wearing pink and white bell bottoms and a multi-color crazy quilt vest.
