Ann, you are too much!!! I am going right now to look up the quilts you mentioned. I didn't know I could search by "type". Thank you so much. I'll let you know if I find the one.

They are all wonderful...I'm afraid I've become one of the addicted...Ricky sure has done something to thousands of women all over the world with his convergences, chantelles, rhapsodies, etc, etc, etc. Thanks so much Ann. I'll post the one I'm working on when it is finished.

In looking at the Quilt Gallery this morning I noticed that member Morigane (Betty from Longview TX) has posted a new convergence which she titled Mermaid Convergence. It is lovely with beautiful soft colors. Bravo Betty Job well done.

I just looked at her convergence with the mermaids...really very pretty. I'm working on one with fused flowers in the border. If I ever get it done I'll post it. I wish there was more room for quilts as those that are already in the gallery I guess have to stay as is.

Does anybody know if they can be changed??

yes Nancy they can be replaced, but you need to make sure you DELETE the entire quilt profile before you upload a new one, don't just replace the image & edit the text, or it will show up numerically where your old one was & might not be seen as much as a new quilt.

I made a harmonic convergence and put it in my profile. I'm getting just a little better at the freemotion feathers. DH really likes the colors in this one. It's goin' on a wall somewhere!

who was it who said "it's not a mistake, it's a design opportunity"? I think your quilts look great, I'm starting my first convergence!

Sherry, You did a great job! I had an idea in my head for a couple weeks so I ordered Ricky's book last week and can barely wait til it gets here. Sandi in wet, but cooler FL.

Sherry - Your convergence is beautiful - your quilted feathers really are shown off in the quilt! And, of course, while looking at your profile, I had to admire your Beth Wheeler inspiried quilts AGAIN! - THEY ARE GORGEOUS! Mary Kay

                            Hi everyone,

I am starting a convergence quilt for my son, who wants an ocean themed quilt. My plan is to have waves going the length of the twin size bed with an Orca whale appliqued to the center. I have made the first convergence using 1 yard each of two different colors (photo in my profile). My question is Should I make the next cuts diagonal with the first convergence lines going the same direction? Or would it look better with cross cuts. I haven't seen any convergence with diagonal cuts and not sure how it will affect what I have done so far. Are there any problems I should look out for. ANy advice is greatly appreciated. Cheryl

cheryl, Keep in mind,if you cut on the diagonal you will have bias to work with which can be problematic. Also diagonal cuts can not be moved around like the cross cut can because the shapes are going to be triangles at each corner and different length angled strips. I suggest you play with paper first and see what you get before you cut into your fabric. Good Luck. Betty Ann In Sunny Florida

Thanks Betty, Just as I read paper in your responce, I thought of taking photos, printed on regular paper, and try out different cuts. That should save a lot of aggrivation. Sometimes I need a little nudge to get the brain cells going. Cheryl
