I saw that and I sent a message to'System Admin' and I did not get a reply yet. That was one of my frustrations on this new site, among others... the fact that some button don't work (can't accept friends on the first page, I have to make the little window appear otherwise it just won't work), the photo did not follow, etc... I'll try to fin them - I know I kept them -and upload them again.

Yep--this is what happens to me. :S

Since I'm on a private laptop, I leave the tab on my browser and just click on the tab when I want to look for TQS activity. On the old web site, I'd have to re-log in if I'd been away for a little while. The browser would have saved my user name and password, but I'd have to click login and, depending on where I had been, click back over to my location. With the new site, I've been good to go most of the time. I still have the browser remembering my user name and password so I don't have to type them in if I get logged out, but I'm not getting logged out. It's great!!

Do you mean that you don't have to click 'login' every time you come come onto TQS? It is remembering my email and my password but I still have to login. I am also finding that sometimes even when I have logged out I am still logged in when I come back next time - other times I am not. It does not seem to be consistent.
Yep--this is what is happening at my house.

I'm going to have to request patience on the forum and community features. We will make them a high priority after we fix the membership system. (Bob is working all weekend totally remaking our membership system which had an unfixable failure on launch.) We want the new communication parts of the site to be a very special part of your experience with TQS and promise to learn, fix and teach the new features very soon.

part of the redundancy I mention somewhere before  .....Nice not to have to log-in every time. I check by clicking on a show to make sure sometimes !
Same for me. However, I usually click to read the messages on the website. I want to see all your lovely faces.

Since I prefer to read on the forum, and I read everything going anyway, I have decided to unsubscribe from all the threads, because it is filling up my inbox ridiculously and seems to take ages to clear them all out, so it saves computer time for more important things (like being here  )

all the struggle with this new site is that we are all talking again !! It had gotten very quiet here of late !!

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do some tutorials on how and why to navigate this site. I am sure I'm not the only one having trouble, it would be very helpful.

P.S. Will be going to the TQS taping on Monday with Nancy Rehak, woohoo.
Lucky you. Enjoy the taping. Attending a taping is on my wish list.

I am trying to figure out how to invite friends. I know I read about some issues here on the forum but can't find the thread. I have invited friends but if I look at my profile it says that I have not invited any friends. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
PS. I am slowly learning my way around the new website and I think it is going to be wonderful. TQS is my go to place for all things quilty.

Debbie, if you click on the avatar or name of the person you wish to invite, it will take you to their profile page. On the right hand side bottom of the banner (with the female silhouette in the background), you will see an icon to invite friends. Click on that and a box will come up where you can add anything you want. When you are done, it will tell you that the person is receiving it. That should do it for you. Hope this helps!

Don't care if I am male or female on my profile. But I do care if I can't view any shows, classrooms etc. And I can't stay logged in no matter how many times I tick the box "remember me".

                              Rita,

Could this depend on the version of Internet Explorer you are using? On my "personal computer", It keeps me logged in, and I run Version 10.0. On my "work" computer, it doesn't, and I run version 11.... go figure...

Andrée, I think you are right. On the other thread I mentioned that I can now watch the shows on Safari whereas I had been using Chrome. None of the shows or classes will work on Chrome for me, but I was able to download instructions for the December BOM. I guess the lesson is if at first your browser does not succeed, try another one.
