    Quilting in Uruguay

Going to Montevideo area of Uruguay in mid March to teach sewing skills and quilt making for micro business to women. Does anyone have contact with quilters in the area? Any advice on teaching quilting or the trip in general

Alison Schwabe, a well-known Australian art quilter, spends a lot of time in Montevideo. Here is her web site:

The above TQS member is also based in Montevideo. But there are no details in her profile. You could send her a message from her profile.

I have never been to South America. Can I come? I'll carry your bags.

Oh yes, Rosemary. Nothing can keep me from Oldham. I was asked by colleagues what my holiday/travel plans are for this year. I said with a straight face: I'm going to Oldham at Easter and to Birmingham in summer. They looked at me as if I had finally lost the plot.
