Too far away for me, Anne. Have fun! I hear it's a super day out for any quilter.

Yes Lorchan Nottingham is a bit far away but I expect like me you will be at the N E C in August, can't wait, talk about wishing ones life away.
In June we have the National Quilt Championship at Sandown Park it's only a half hour drive from me so I have that to look forward to although it's not the show it used to be.
Minus 6 here this morning but sun is shining.
      Happy quilting

Anne, a friend took me to the Sundown show some years ago. We had a great day out together.

I have to be careful not to add anymore to my diary this year. Besides working full-time there is already my older son's wedding in May, Ricky in Oldham in April, FoQ in August, and a 3-day retreat in June. I also have to somehow fit in a few days in Germany. And it all has to slot into the school holidays. I don't think I'll get bored.

Lorchan, I shouldn't think you will have time to take breath, busy busy busy, when do you find time to quilt?
I won't be seeing Ricky so all the best on that day

You have hit the nail on the head, Anne. But before I stop quilting I'll cut down on housework.

                Hi Ladyrags,
A scrum is a rugby phrase when everyone piles in together, and that's what it's like trying to get near the traders but it's fun and everyone is very patient.
I have been today but didn't buy much as I don't have a project in mind at the moment, I'm too busy using up my scraps AKA Trash to treasure.
Like lots of traders they have had to put prices up and there was some really horrible fabric for sale, but everyone is different and if it's what you want that's OK.
                Happy quilting
                Anne

Anne, thank you so much, I must remember 'intellectual malfunctions'. It makes a change from saying that Mum's braindead.

Anne, 'rearranging dust' is housework. You really need to stop that, because if you have too many intellectual malfunctions you may rearrange the dust several times and it ends up looking beautifully cleaned.

I've got bright sunshine here today, it's dreadful, you can see lots of dust that needs re-arranging (not to mention the irish lace curtains)!

i love irish lace curtains, they are so beautiful covered with morning dew.
good to know: spiders only settle in a harmonious place.
i have one spider settled on my balcony - it only took her about 3 years to learn that she should not build her "curtain" in front of my bacony door every night (and again during the day). we've now come to an agreement on which corner belongs to her (from the outside wall - over the largest flower pot - generally using the sunflower as soon as it's large enough), and that's where she spends the whole summer/fall

Yes, outside they are pretty, but I've got them in the second toilet and off the chandeliers

Lol, it took me a few seconds to realise what irish lace curtains are.  I have those too.  I think quilters should have them. Life's too short.
