Awesome, Pam! I am so glad you were able to make it.

Lorchen, the canal was very cool. As I was driving down the hill into town I noted a waterway and some of those long boats...or narrow boats, but then I couldn't figure out why I never crossed over the water as I came into town. Then I realised I had gone uner the canal! I couldn't believe it. I had to stop and take a picture of that!

Lorna, Which town was that? curiousity in action here!

By the way, I read years ago that Birmingham has 22 miles more canals than Venice! - it was in a book I had called 'Things you didn't know, you didn't know'

It was such fun. It is impossible to explain to anyone outside of TQS why these things are such fun and so important. They just look at me as if I've 'lost the plot', either that or put it down to the excentricity of my time of life, lol. I can remember jumping up and down and shouting when I saw Hanne-Grete on the dock in Norway, I was so excited. I just wish the rest of you could have been with me at Reading station

I am not sure if it will be posted on the daily blog or not, but Ricky has posted on Facebook and his website about our English quilting train-bys. Check out the link below. Mine was the first one so is at the bottom of the page. It was such fun to do.
