    UK - Chat

I'm going to try something, because I think that the chat rooms are hardly ever used, but could be a lot of fun.

So, I'm going to visit the one called "Quilt Police Free Zone" most evenings at 8pm UK time. Come and join me!

I won't be able to do it on Tuesday (local quilt group meeting), but tomorrow and the rest of next week should not be a problem.

If you feel like it, join me!

Great idea, I'll try and join you, if I don't have too much trouble wrestling my daughter into bed.

We will be able to discuss how to take over the website clocks and get them set to British times

      Well, the best plans.....

I got to the chat room a few minutes. I took my son and his girlfriend to the station and should have been back before 8 o'clock, but a lorry got stuck on a very narrow bridge and I had a rather long diversion to deal with.

Anyway, nobody in the chat room. I'll try again tomorrow night at 8pm UK time.

Lorchen: I hope you get something going there. As much as I would like to at least say hello, it would be 4:00 AM for me here in California.

Hope you remember and have someone to chat with.

          Yes, Margarita, it worked!

There wasn't a big queue outside the chat room, but 'majack' and I had a lovely chat. Date, time, and location for her local quilt exhibition in October are now in my diary and it's within easy distance for me. Yippeh!!

I'll keep popping into 'Quilt Police Free Zone' at around 8pm UK time from now on. I'll just sit there for a while with a little hand-sewing and wait for company. Anybody can join me.

And, no, I'm not bringing the Eagle Owl. He has to stay in Scotland.

Yippeh, it's working! There were 6 of us chatting tonight. Keep it going, please! I can't pop in tomorrow night, but 'I'll be back!' on Wednesday..... same time, same place!

My first time ever in a 'chat room'. Not sure that I have worked out what all the buttons are for, and got lost looking up a reference for Inklingo.

For what it is worth I found out about Inklingo on this site and it is a program for printing your sewing and cutting lines onto the reverse of your fabric, and really makes for easy hand stitching and lining up for sharp points.

Will try to call in later this week,

              Rosemary.

I am on holiday at present and this is my first time online for 6 days. I hope to catch up with you in the chatroom next week. Pam

                    Hi Lorchen
Well its Tuesday and its the first time I have seen this post, so wont see you tonight. Still I will pop in from time to time for a chat! You could always do what I do with some USA friends and email when you are in there. I for one, always have my lap top handy and emails beep at me, so generally know when one has arrived. well, just a thought as its a bit sad being 'home alone' !

I was a bit late going to chat last night and I think I missed someone. After hanging around while I was doing clean up in the kitchen (thank goodness for laptops) Dorothy from Suffolk joined and we had a really nice chat.

I won't be in tonight, it's my Mum's birthday and we're out for a family meal.
