    LIz,
It's delightful and I especially like the corner stones - I think they really punctuate and add movement to the blocks.

MaryJo, have you tried Ricky Tims' mini piped binding technique? It's all done on the sewing machine and makes a fabulous finished edge! All of Ricky's instructions for making it are on his GRAND FINALE DVD: http://www.rickytims.com/online-stor...;category_id=2

Here is the edge of It's a Small World done with mini piping between the red border and green binding:

Help! I think I messed up. I decided to quilt my HST finally. I don't have a walking foot but it seemed to be doing fine. NO! I put it up on my design board and it is ok till you look at the first 1 inch border which is wonky now. Arrrrrh! I was looking back over the post on this topic and saw that Margo said not to quilt on the diagonal. well I read that too late. Can I fix it without taking it apart? I guess I should try and post a picture. If not I am doomed.

Karen, depending on how wonky it is, you might be able to block it square. You might want to read the topic here: http://forum/i-need-quilting-related...ocking-a-quilt

Also....I love quilting on the diagonal, but I am REALLY careful that the quilt is stabilized with lots of pins (when quilting on a domestic machine) or basting (on the long arm) to prevent distortion.

          Good luck!

Marilyn - you've done a great job. I agree that choosing the quilting is hard or almost harder than the quilt top pattern. You'll come up with something great, I'm sure

I continue to be blown away by all these beautiful quilts. They make me want to have more to play with again. What are we going to do when all the quilts are quilted and the book is finished? What will happen to SOTT's? What about those of us who didn't get to go to Houston this year to meet all our sisters and brothers? Did we miss our only chance to meet fellow SOTT's? What's next? Anything?
