    Dear SoTTT;

    I love them all! Where to begin ? ? Amazing how many different designs everyone can come up with & still be so beautiful! How creative everyone is I haven’t even begun but you are all so inspirational I will now! Gonna get them out & start one of my quadrants today! As soon as the tree guys stop all their noise and hanging off from our roof :roll: :roll: It is the yelling at each other they do that makes me so nervous! I am afraid one of them is gonna fall out of the tree with a saw!
    Oh my the Buggers, just came on the Kathy Lee & Hoda show, opps I mean the Duggar Family; are on with their 30 plus kids promoting their new book. Makes you want to buy it just to make sure all their kids get feed!

    Anyway, hopefully I can post something I have accomplished by this weekend!

      This is the cover quilt from Edyta's book, Friendship Triangles. I'm conducting a swap at my LQS so had to get this done. It only uses 420 HST, I've got about 300 left for another idea--several of you have great designs going!

      I went totally scrappy except where each quadrant comes together--on those outside edges I tried to find units very similar in color, though not the exact same fabric, to create "geese" coming out from the center in all four corners. The photo doesn't show that very well but it is apparent looking at the quilt.

      I placed the signed blocks in the center or near by--Ricky and Alex didn't play well with Margo and Edyta. I also placed a few "friends" I know, like Dana and JoJo, close by Margo so they can talk between themselves.

            Love your quilt Barbara, That is the one I started out making but I screwed up and didn't put them in the right order but love what I got.
            Now every time I look at it I am going to hear all these voices talking to one another. Like Margo said, a very loud quilt.

                Your quilt is beautiful Barbara. Love how you put "people" together so they could chat.

                  Hey, even if they didn't know each other to start with, I bet they do by now, and they are all chatting away nineteen to the dozen :lol:

                      Me thinks the sorting hats must have had something to do with all the noisy HSTs!!! :wink:

                        Barbara - It looks wonderful - what a fun way to use the special blocks! I like the solid borders as well....

                          Y'all are all just too much fun!!! Could you just imagine what it would be like if the SOTT's got together for a Quilt Retreat? :lol:
                          I've changed my mind on what pattern I'd use several times but stuck with the original Medallian. I've started sewing but after reading everyones comments, I'm wondering if I should have tweaked the placement of some of these little guys....but I'm not changing it! I'll send a photo in soon. My goal is to have it finished to qualify for a Quilt Exibit here in Savannah, Ga. Entrees must be in by July 15th so I'd better get sewing! Any suggestions on how to quilt this? I do have a longarm machine but I'm just stumped on how to tackle this one.

                            Don't take this too seriously - but how about a repeating pattern of globes, or hands or both?
                            More seriously how about clamshells radiating out from the middle

                              My wild and crazy idea is: quilt the city and state/country names from all of the foundation papers that I received :shock: . My quilt will be around 68 x 84 so there might be enough room. Mine is in progress- slow but steady. I'm making one of the quilts from Edyta's triangle book, I think it's called Mosaic something.

                                kathy - great minds think alike - that's exactly what i've been planning too
                                except that i'm a lousy quilter and it will take some time - but this will sure give me a chance to practice )
