I have been lovingly going through my HST’s; they are all beautiful, beautiful and beautiful. Thank you one and all for your HST’s.

Of the 615 I received, I had quite a few duplicates (10 and above, with a 18 from IL and a 22 from NJ) but I can live with that, it really doesn’t bother me in the slightest.

The only thing I am disappointed about is that all of them are from the USA (42 states) and one from Canada. I would really love to receive one from the rest of the International members (they are International to us as well) Australia, Canada, Germany, New Zealand, Switzerland etc, etc.

I don't know if this is the right forum :? but I will post it in another one as well

So, this is my question - how are YOU defining 'duplicate' - based on fabrics or based on labels?[/quote]
I define duplicates as same fabric on both sides of the HST. I received sometimes 20+ from one person, but she mixed them up pretty good, and of those I only had about three duplicates.

OK Everyone - we are ready for the SOS. Susan (aka snflrz4u2) is 492 hsts short. I have her address and I am asking that anyone who was over (or just willing to help) message me directly with the amount you are willing to send. I will email you her mail address so you can send them to Susan directly.

Judging by past posts through out this exchange I can see that we are such a wonderfully generous group, I am sure we can get Susan her missing triangles.

        Thank-you!

We did it! There are 492 hst on their way to Susan (or about to be). Thanks Everyone!

I received my HSTs in the mail today and they are all beautiful. I was six short of the amount that I sent in (not bad considering how many there was to sort) so if someone has an extra that they would be willing to send to me that would be wonderful but if not then that is fine too.

I rec'd mine the weekend of Easter. I havent' had time to really ponder them, but with my first hand in the bag, I was surprised that I pulled out 6 of my own and had many duplicates of others. Oh well, I understand it was a massive task and one which I wouldn't have wanted to take on!

Hi to all and thank you so much!!!! So far I have recieved 218 hst of the 492 that I was shorted!!!!! Thank you so much to all of the generous quilters who have shared their extra hst. I have sent personal thank yous to each generous quilter but one of the envelopes had a smudged address and I have not been able to find the quilter from the signature. Who ever you are-----Thank you so much---------- Susan

International quilters. We primarily used flat rate boxes to make it easier to have a standard pay rate. These boxes are small and only 315 max HSTs will fit in them. If your quantity was over that I probably equalled out the bags. Please be patient and see if a second box arrives. Clara

For me it would be exact fabric combinations, but I am not too picky. I have received multiples from the same person, but different fabrics. I have also gotten multiples of the exact same fabrics. I don't care either way. For me , I took a gamble on what I would receive, and plan to deal with what I got. So since I got the amount I sent in, I will plan my design on what I received. It's the simplest for me and just want to get on with my quilt. Now that being said, if anyone didn't get a HST from Connecticut, I would be willing to send one out.

I have only received 3 emails letting me know who came up short or who has too many. Please keep me in mind, this is what I volunteered for. I will match you up with someone who has extra or send out SOS's for you.

I have only received 2 people who would like to participate in my suggested duplicate packet swap but are concerned about the lack of interest. If you are specifically looking for more international or a particular state then this exchange is not for you - a forum request with what you are looking for would better suit your needs. If you are like me, and received many, many duplicates my swap might help reduce those duplicates (we couldn't have all gotten the same duplicates!). The more people who participate the less chances for more duplicates.

If no one is interested that's ok too - less work for me, more time to sew.

                      Just trying to help,
                      Kari

Thanks so much to all of the generous quilters who have come to my rescue. So far I have recieved 396 hst of the 490 I was short. It seem like everyday my mailbox yields more surprises. Next weekend I will be going on a quilt retreat with 3 of my sisters who also participated in the hst challenge. They will be bringing their hst so we can see what each other recieved. We are all going to make the friendship quilt.

I have finally pressed my HSTs and looked at where they are all from. These are the extras or duplicates that I have. The number in front is how many I have of each, the name after the number is the name of the sender or whatever info. is on the HST to differentiate it from the others, the last is the state of country of origin.

Hi Ritzy, I was originally shorted 492 and to date have ricieved 445 so I still need 45. If you could spare some I would appriciate. So many quilters have already been so very generous.
