I haven't received my HSTs yet as I am an international participant but I have emailed JuanitaB and would love to send her some triangles. I made extra as I am also in an exchange at my LQS. I am sure we can all do a little bit and get her a good amount of triangles.

Since we had no extras, neither Clara nor I received as many as we turned in. I only got 300 and I told Juanita I would send her those, but I've already taken the papers off and pressed them open, so I don't know if they will mean that much to her like that. If you have a few extras, especially some that you received duplicates of, please contact her and she can send you her address.

I'm confident that between all of us, we should be able to get close to what she's missing.

      Thank you so much!
Debbie and I are working on a way to resolve this situation. Hold off quilters on contacting. We might have a remedy!!! Clara

Wait just a bit. We might have a resolution for her. We will ask for help if it doesn't work. Clara

Boy oh boy, Clara and Debbie - and you thought the 'sorting' was over, but I have a feeling the "BEYOND' is going to be the bigger event! Best of luck, and don't forget to wear your sorters hat as you gals figure this one out! BTW - I don't mind making some for her, although I'm still waiting for mine. I'll wait to hear what you decide.

Will wait to hear from you. I have some extras but some of them do not have names on them.

My papers have been removed and the fabrics pressed and trimmed, but I'll certainly be glad to share. Please let me know if that will help.

Hang on my fellow quilters. We are working on a resolution. If we need your help we know we can count on you. Give us a few days on this. Thanks. Clara

DEBBIE and CLARA - I certainly hope your resolution isn't to send her yours!!! I'm joining the voices that will be glad to send triangles to this lady. If 40 ladies of the 540 or so participants send send 10 triangles each - that is 400. That should work no problem.

LEADERS - we want to help - you have done enough! Get us an address and let us step up and help this lady! I'm sure I speak for other ladies as well. Will wait to hear - we just don't want to hear that you two don't have any left!!!

I'm going to go ahead and make a few to have ready to send. If it turns out that I don't need to send them, I'll just use them in my quilt with the others.

Why the wait on help. Here is what is going on and you will understand why we said to hold off a little bit.

I had an international package of triangles that had no label or paypal receipt for payment. Come to find out that she had already made arrangements for it to be sent to the US. So another package was set up for the US address. She replied back to me saying she had gotten her HSTs and she was good. So, we now had this bag of HSTs that did not have a home. Knowing that Debbie and I were short quite a bit I was being sneaky (to surprise Debbie) and sent her over half of them. After they were in the mail, she got an alert that a quilter got the wrong amount and was missing a lot. I saw the post and immediately contacted Debbie and told her about the HSTs in route to her. (I dumped a bunch in there and didn't count) She is going to count them out when she gets them and send them on. I will do the same and fill in the rest of the missing. We should be ok with this. That's the scoop.

Thanks for all of you ready to dive in and help us out. It means a lot and we might need that again. We have to see how this works out after everyone has received their HSTs. Clara

To all of you wonderful generous and caring SoTTTs...

It is absolutely not necessary for you to send additional HSTs for JuanitaB. We have enough to send her all the MIAs. Clara has put them in the mail to me and I should receive them today or tommorow. As soon as I can get them packaged up, I'll put them in the mail to JuanitaB.

Juanita...if you are reading this and you haven't seen your emails yet, I do need to get your address so I can send them to you.

If members do want to exchange HSTs or send overages to those members who are short, please use the Wayward and Adoptable HSTs Forum to do that. It will be much better to keep all that information in one location, so that this Forum thread doesn't become too confusing. If it is all kept in that location, members will know exactly where to go look. It would be nice to reserve this Forum for members to post information about their projects and photos.

Thanks again to all of you wonderful members...you are all truly remarkable!

Hello to all the SoTTTs out there. Let me introduce myself. My name is Kari Grece. I am a stay at home mom of an adorable, not quite 2 year old. I have recently moved to St. Charles, IL and have several empty rooms in my new house. Since we have extra space and time, I thought this task and I might be a good fit. I have volunteered to head up the exchange of duplicate and the redistribution of extra half square triangles.

I have created a new topic: SoTTTs Clearing House - Duplicate and Wayward Exchange
                            http://www.thequiltshow.com/bb3/viewtopic.php?f=141&t=4617&start=0

I have reserved the first couple posts for important updates. (wish I could have used the Wayward and Adoptable topic already created but I didn't want people to have to go to page 10 for the details).

Please let me know what you think of my idea - nothing is set in stone and I can definitely use suggestions.

                            Thanks!
                            Kari
