All I can say is "Wow!" ,Margo...the lay out is super! Rec'd mine yesterday and I petted and sorted,
counted and read the labels, and peeked and marveled at the wealth ! And yes..they arrived smooshed
in a tyvek bag..a bit mussed up.. but HERE! And yes...there are duplicates thanks to the cling-y nature of
cotton ..funny thing, tho... the most,(12), came from Squirllie55 who lives an hour north of me and was
the only other Idaho quilter I found in 615...(Got one of my own !) What are the odds of that ?
Many Thanks! to all who sewed! Double Thanks! to Debbie and Clara and all their helpers for making this
wonderment happen. And Thanks! as well to all who wrote and teased and informed and entertained while we
waited for the return of the HSTs. Now..I must get my UFO off the design wall! Marilyn

If sewn together like this it would finish at 40" x 60". I will be adding fabrics to it in a different layout, but need to match sets of 4 colors to make pinwheel blocks, and thought this would be the best way to see them all at once!

      What eye candy!!

I'm sorry Margo. The first thing that came to mind was "I could never lay mine out on the floor like that with my puppy". Talk about doing a Risky Business slide all over them! It is nice to see the variety and how they look so good together like that. Humm, what am I going to do. Clara

You must have great knees Margo. I could never get down and lay out all those HSTs.

Wow, spoken from the heart! My feelings too! I am looking sew forward to getting mine! I keep looking in the mail box each day in anticipation. . . Is that a Shih Tzu puppy in your icon? Barbara - You're right this is my Shih Tzu puppy, Sydney Vicious. She's cute but soo honery. She tried to take off with one of my HSTs  ! I received several of your HSTs. Your work is beautiful! Thank you... I hope you get your special mail soon! Receiving your HSTs is well worth every moment of waiting. Some of the names I recognized immediately...Riverowl, Clara, Posy...

Debbie - Did you happen to sign yours with only Katy, Texas?

WOW!! Thanks for the visual Margo. Can't wait to get my 600. I'm like a little kid waiting for Santa. Fortunately I've been pre-occupied with the Strip exchange for the past few days so I haven't given the HSTs much thought until tonight when I had a chance to catch up with the forum comments. It is so much fun hearing about all the arrivals.

My HST's arrived in good form yesterday. I have looked at quite a few and recognize lots of names. I'm looking forward to really digging into them after Easter. Thanks to all who helped with this project. Debbie and Clara are angels--little quilt angels. Thanks for organizing and seeing this project through. My husband had to poke around in them a little too-glad he supports my "habit". Teresa in ND where it is still snowing!

I'm still waiting for my HSTs and am on "pins and needles" every day when the mailman comes by. Until then, I thought I'd let everyone know that I had already finished my HSTs and had them bagged and ready to mail when the posts started mentioning adding our screen name to each one. I didn't and wish I had now. Instead, I only had "Birmingham, AL USA" on each one. So if you receive one labeled that way, it's mine. Just thought you might want to know.

Looking forward to discovering what comes in my package. I've had my quilt designed since before I mailed the HSTs and am anxious to start piecing it together.

I was totally surprised that I received my package on Sat. What a thrill! I haven't had time to post until now, but have been reading others and had to share in the excitement. I feel honored and touched to be part of this exchange. Thank you so much to Clara and Debbie for taking on this HUGE task. You have done a fabulous job! Thank you to all the volunteers who helped you, too. Margo's input is always so valuable, as well. I have been busy painting severals rooms of our house (my daughter just got engaged and we're having a party). It has been so hard to put off playing with my HST. Last night I finally got to sort some of them and touch these beautiful representations of quilters all over the world. I am going to take my time to somehow document all that I have received. There is something spiritual about connecting with each other through this exchange and I can feel the energy and creativity from the fabric everyone has lovingly stitched. Thanks to Edyta for inspiring us to become friends through this exchange. Now to get back to the painting and thinking about a design for this special quilt.

Thanks, Margo for showing your HSTs all laid out - I am inspired. I'd love to see your 'other' pattern with your added fabric. I'm still wondering what to make with mine. Still waiting for them. It's so exciting to read and feel the happiness of those who are receiving their HST babies. I' don't have a design wall , but maybe while waiting, i can conjure up something, so I don't have to do the knee thing - and I have a little Cairn Terrier ( think Toto from the Wizard of OZ) who would love to attack them and carry them off.

                          Crocus 999,
I believe a Charter Member is someone who started in the beginning of the show. They were there at the birth of TQS so to speak. Guess that means we will never achieve that status.

Charter members joined TQS in the very beginning of the venture! If you check our full profiles (click on "view my TQS profile" under my photo to the right of this box) you will see the gold star with the red "C" in the middle at the left of the line of stars!

FALSE ALARM!! Hubby met the mailman at the door and announced, "Oh, you've got lots of goodies." I could hear the crinkle of the Tyvek! Did some broken field running to the sort center in the kitchen, alas, not the 'treasures to be' HST's. More practice coming in patience and gratitude. This has been such an unbelievable challenge for Debbie and Clara that I feared the project would implode along the way. As I'm among the most enthusiastic (sent 720!) I'm also prepared to wait the longest. I promise.
