I've made lots of scrappy quilts using all kinds of fabrics. When you aren't sure if your fabrics have been washed or not, it's always a good idea to wash the finished quilt with Synthrapol and a couple of dye catcher sheets.

I'm still waiting for my HST papers - ordered well over a week ago - maybe even two weeks. When I ordered, the 'big' SOTTT was only at about 150-200 members....I hope I have time to get them done up and arrive there on time! I've joined the 'big' exchange too, but I think their deadline for receiving the HST's is later - what's our deadline? Shall I do the batiks first? BTW - Yes, I will prewash.
Thanks,
Terrie

I followed leafy's in structions below and had all my details printed on my sheets within 5 minutes. It's so easy.
First, I cut some HST sheets into a size that would fit through my printer. I placed a sheet of the HST paper under a plain sheet of paper, and, using the lines I could see thru the sheet, I filled in my name/address (on the plain paper) where it should appear on the triangles.
I put the handwritten name/address sheet in my copier, and put HST sheets in the paper cassette. Then I simply printed the names onto the HST sheets. Worked perfectly!
* DON'T trace the guidelines from the HST sheet; just fill in the info you want to print.
* Test-print your written name sheet on a single HST sheet before printing a zillion; this will ensure everything lines up as it ought, and that you're printing on the correct side of the HST sheets.
* Since my HST sheets came on a roll, they were curled when cut into printer-size pages; I ironed them flat before putting them in the printer.

Do we leave the triangles folded, as they are when we cut them apart, or do you want them pressed open.

I find it hard to work out all the abbreviations of the American States, would it be to much trouble to get everyone to put their full state on the triangle.

I must say that I have just finished my batiks, or I think I have depending on the final numbers of members seeing that we are doing one per member I have done 168 if there are any left over I will keep them. I did not wash my fabric as I had done them before I read the posts so I hope that they will be OK. I jumped in to do the batiks as I am doing some for the Sisters group and did not want to run out of papers, I ordered some more but am not sure that they will arrive in time for me to get them over to you from Australia and did not want to miss out on the deadline, I just love the colours of the batiks they are going to look awsome just can't wait to see what I get back. I want to do some more for the Sisters group to make it up to 700 have already done 476 just hope that the papers arrive soon if not I think I will have a go at printing off some sheets. My dear husband found his way around in Publisher for the first time last night and managed to print off some very small name tags, so we stuck some with a small amount of glue which worked out fine, he had watched me writing out loads and getting writers cramp so he thought this was a better way to go, isn't he a gem. I'm so excited by all of this I think it's great, THANKS HEAPS RITZY I think your wonderful to take this on board it's quite a load the best of luck with it all I hope everything goes smoothly for you I'm sure you will have lots of helpers

Hi Ritzy
Count me in for the batik exchange......all week when I've been planning my numbers for the other exchange, I kept adding these in to my total..and today it dawned on me that I haven't even signed up  ....so glad I thought of it today.
Thank you so much for doing this.

Dana, It's all your fault that I signed up. Lol. After I spoke to you I found out that SoTTT had closed but I had time to sign up for the Batiks swop. Had you heard that Hanne-Grete (Brink of Norway) couldn't do the swop as her basement got flooded out. So some folk are kindly sending triangles especially marked in a seperate bag to be sent to her. Both SoTTT and Batiks r us will forward triangles to her. What a great community this is.
