They have some really nice cream batiks in the collection call "Meringue". I bought a package and am using Thangles to make a 2" Finished HST. This way I can have a nice selection of cream batiks and not go to a lot of expense buying a lot of cream color batik yardage. I hope this helps those that are having problems with finding cream colored batiks.
They are beautiful. Did you purchase them online or at your local quilt shop?
Teresa
They have them in strips or 10" squares. Both could be used with Edyta's papers as long as you cut them down first...

I think I'm finally ready to start doing my hsts. Got the papers, got the batiks, got the books and yesterday I found a few more neutral/beige batiks at my LQS. My daughter has planned a trip or two home from college to do hers with me too! I'm jazzed!
Ritzy-thanks again for organizing this! Hope you have power and aren't freezing! The news reported that Northern Indiana is having both! Take care!Lesley
Advice from a LADYBUG: spot new opportunities, spend time in your garden, be well-rounded, enjoy the wonders of nature, don't let small things bug you, keep family close by and be simply beautiful! -Ilan Shamir-

Originally posted by ScoopieBooklady, if you look at the rules on the first page of this forum, you will see that it states "light on one side, dark on the other." It does not say that we HAVE to use a cream. But, we HAVE to use only batks and have a good contrast.

It is important to send me your email address for two reasons: I will tell you where to send the HST blocks and I will email you when I receive your package.

I would like to sign up for this exchange, too. If my understanding is correct, we send one hst for every participant, and as long as there is good contrast between the fabrics - the light does not have to be cream or white.

Oops - sorry - I did not include my email address: mailto:sdobilia@verizon.net
Thanks, Ritzy
