I'm confused but maybe that's from the freezing weather!! Do we have to use a cream or white on one side? I have some colorful print batiks and I would like to use them and a pale color with it. Is that OK?Originally posted by ritzy

I think I'm finally ready to start doing my hsts. Got the papers, got the batiks, got the books and yesterday I found a few more neutral/beige batiks at my LQS. My daughter has planned a trip or two home from college to do hers with me too! I'm jazzed!

Booklady, if you look at the rules on the first page of this forum, you will see that it states "light on one side, dark on the other." It does not say that we HAVE to use a cream. But, we HAVE to use only batks and have a good contrast.

I would like to sign up for this exchange, too. If my understanding is correct, we send one hst for every participant, and as long as there is good contrast between the fabrics - the light does not have to be cream or white.
