I guess I've been on Facebook too much. I keep reading these posts and looking for the *Like* button. Yes, a big THANK YOU to the crew who have orchestrated this endeavor. Many, many thanks! It feels like Christmas is about here!!! I'm soooo looking forward to my package!

      Ritzy,
Thanks for the update. Wow, you're fast. I'll get my envelope into the mail in the morning. I bet you will be happy to see all of the little gems out of the house so you can start working on your own HST project.

I just don't want the house to burn down before I get them out to you folks--I am very happy to say I have only had one dream about the HST exchange. I imagine that Debbie and Clara are having nightmares!

Nothing too dramatic. Only a tsunami of triangles taking me away. Clara

Wow! I'm away for a couple days and Ritzy not only makes the best executive decision ever; but she completes the swap too! I can't imagine all the effort she expended just for us and I thank her from the bottom of my heart.

Wow!! What a big day!! My hst's have arrived!! My husband brought the mail in and didn't even tell me. Obviously, he didn't know what he had in his hands! Love them! I am so excited to start my quilt, but must wait for our other hst's exchange. Ritzy, many many thanks to you and your team!!!

I thought you might like to see my beginning! I've decided that I will merge these HSTs with the ones from the SoTTTs and some from some smaller local exchanges. My quilt will have a pinwheel border, so I sorted out all of my Batiks-R-Us HSTs and matched them according to the color of the darker fabric to make color co-ordinated pinwheels. You can see that the guideline to use only "cream colored batiks" was interpreted differently by everyone, but I think these fabrics will play together nicely anyway!

                  WHOO-HOO!! We're havin' fun now!!

                    Margo,

Very nice!!! It's so great to see these altogether from around the world. I see some that look like mine, but I know others may have used some of the same fabrics I used. My set should come tomorrow. Can't wait!!!

                      Margo,

Your color groupings are great! Each 4 stack just looks like they were made for each other. And, I definitely found mine! It's even on the top of it's stack. I felt like I was playing "Where's Waldo?" Your pinwheel border will be awesome!

looks great! I must admit, though, that I followed this set of instructions:
Batiks with a light on one side and a darker on the other side. The darker fabric can be dark or medium value as long as there is good contrast between the two. I have said in the past that because of the difficulty in finding cream colored batiks that you can use a tone on tone cream, white or beige fabric. I am going to change that (hope nobody out there wants to kill me) lets use a light batik and a dark--keeping in mind--high contrast.
So my HSTs had high contrast but no cream side. So sorry if this messed up your scheme of things!

Margo--what a great idea! I will have to lay mine out like that and see what I really have. Thanks.

Dwynette, you certainly didn't mess up anything!! That's the fun part of an exchange with lots of people and lots of fabric choices! These fabrics are all wonderful and will absolutely work well together.

Margo, thanks for posting a photo of all you HST's - they look soooo good! I will have a little wait until I receive mine. I think it may take 2 weeks for them to come to Australia! But I have a few hundred others prepared and ready to go when my little gems arrive.

AND LOTS of thanks to Ritzy for all your amazing sorting, packaging and posting for all of us!

Looks great Margo. I am going to blend my batik hst's with the SOTTT and others I have saved from an exchange with Edyta.

Can't wait to get mine back
